**VERY SMALL TRIGGER WARNING

=============================================================================

The next day I met Andy at the school gate, unintentionally, but it certainly improved my day. He gave me the same cute grin as the day before, and the morning sunlight bounced off his silver lip rings, nearly blinding me. "So...uh... how do you like the school?" I asked, barely being able to keep my violently beating heart in my chest and totally unable to sound even remotely enthusiastic, considering my experiences there weren't exactly good.

"It's alright..."he trailed off. "Actually...you're alright... you're pretty cool, but everyone else so fake and..asshole-ish! I mean, half the people are douchebags. I heard that guy talk to you before class... what a dick!"

The fact he was already disliking the same people as me made my heart skip a beat. "I agree about the douchebags. That guy's name's Jason. He calls me emo bitch, and enjoys throwing food at me."

"He's a fucking idiot. He needs glasses if he's gonna say anything negative about you. I mean, I can't deny the fact you wear a lot of black, but emo? He could just say something about funerals, like a normal person."

Was he flirting with me?! I could feel myself blushing again. Andy put his huge hand on my cheek. "If he does ANYTHING to you, I promise I will be there for you. You are too nice, and too pretty to be treated like that. And if you haven't already picked up, we're kinda similar...we need to stay together." He softly giggled. He was definitely flirting, and it was hardcore fucking with my head, because he was like a god in the way he looked and acted.

"I am definitely not pretty..." I mumbled... too astonished at the compliment from someone on his level of attractiveness to say anything else. I could feel his warm hand still on my face, and savored the feeling.

"No, I take that back." he said, his turquoise eyes meeting with my brown ones. "You're gorgeous."

I felt kinda lightheaded. I couldn't even comprehend the feelings I had that moment... a mix of excitement and shock and flattery... I didn't even say anything in return.  How could a guy as hot and amazing as that... like someone like me? Especially within a day? The thought was embedded in my brain.

"R-really?" I choked out, unable to say anything else for the fear of squealing by accident. He removed his hand from my cheek and made eye contact.

"You're absolutely beautiful." He reached forward and kissed me lightly on the cheek. I couldn't believe what was happening... it was like the entire world had frozen around us. I hadn't even known him for a full 24 hours, and he hadn't known me but my heart had already been stolen by his perfection. He gently pulled away, winked, and slowly walked into the school building. I had to lean against a fence to avoid falling over. The emotions flowing through me were too powerful to even properly identify themselves. I was so incredibly happy, something I had never been until yesterday. I grinned to myself and walked to class, I'm Not A Vampire by Falling In Reverse flowing through my headphones, contributing to my good mood.

I somehow managed to get through first period, weird emotions and all,  with Ms Greethy droning on about peasants in the middle ages, and found my way to the cafeteria the second the bell went. Andy wasn't in my history class, so I had yet to talk to him. To be honest, I didn't even know how to approach them, being the social idiot I was, so I grabbed a banana from the pale green bench and sat at my usual table, again, secluded from the rest of the human population in the corner.

I peeled the banana and took my phone out, beginning to scroll instagram as I always did. I looked up a little and saw someone coming. I hoped it was Andy, but the person was bigger. Shit. Jason. Why wouldn't he just leave me alone? "Hey emo bitch, how are your internet 'friends'? He did the quotation marks on the word 'friends', and I ignored him once again. "Where's your emo boyfriend? Have you guys cut together yet?" This was pissing me off more than usual, probably because he was talking shit about Andy, now, too. "Aww, boo hoo, your little bitch of a boyfriend has gone to cry over his bangs not being straight, aww poor babykins, aww." He sneered at me.

"Shut the fuck up..." I muttered under my breath, hoping he wouldn't hear me and just leave me alone. No such luck.

"WHAT did you just say to me, you piece of shit?"

I gathered some courage and actually talked to him that time. "I said, stop talking shit about Andy. He still has some sanity left, and I don't need you draining it out of him like you did with me."

"WORTHLESS EMO SCUM!" He grabbed my throat with a small amount of force and pinned me up on the wall behind the table. The whole room was watching by this point. I wasn't scared, though, I knew he wouldn't actually hit me.

"Leave me alone" I muttered, the toe of my leather boots just touching the ground.

"No. Not before you admit you are a piece of shit who isn't worth a spot on this planet."

I was midway through saying it, an easy challenge, when someone's clenched fist came flying out from behind Jason, punching him square in the nose.  Jason dropped me and crumpled onto the floor in pain. I saw the attacker: It was Andy. He had a surprising amount of strength for someone so lanky. I rubbed my throat before reaching towards Andy and engulfing him in a hug. "Thankyou..." I whispered into his neck... not giving a shit about who was watching anymore.

"That's my pleasure, beautiful..." he replied. "We're the outcasts, remember? Like I said, we need to stick together."

He grabbed my hand and we walked away from the sea of people still staring at us, only looking behind us once to see Jason with a bloody nose and a furious expression.

"Let's go..." I said looking into Andy's eyes.

"Where?" He looked confused.

"Anywhere." he nodded and we walked, hand in hand, right out the school gates and into freedom.
