2nd POV
"Stirring Up Something More"
The afternoon sun streams through the window as you glance over the recipe in front of you. It's simple enough-just a stir-fry with vegetables and some noodles-but something tells you that today's cooking session won't be straightforward. Especially not with Kai'Sa standing next to you, arms crossed, eyeing the kitchen with a look that's a mixture of curiosity and uncertainty.
"You've never cooked before?" you ask, raising an eyebrow as you glance at her.
She shrugs, the slight tension in her shoulders betraying the calm exterior she's trying to maintain. "I perform in front of thousands of people on stage . How hard can cooking be?"
You chuckle. "You might be surprised. The kitchen can be just as thrillinh. Fewer intensity, more fire." You hand her a knife, setting a few vegetables on the cutting board. "Here, start with these. Just chop them up."
Kai'Sa examines the knife, then the vegetables, and nods. The confidence in her eyes is unmistakable-this is a woman who's survived unspeakable atmospheres, so slicing a few carrots and peppers should be easy. She grips the knife like she's going into battle, her precision deadly as she slices through the vegetables with alarming speed.
Except... pieces start flying.
"Whoa, slow down!" you laugh, dodging a flying carrot piece that barely misses your head. "This isn't a Void fight, you don't have to destroy them."
Kai'Sa pauses, a small smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. "I guess I'm not used to such delicate work."
"Delicate?" You glance at the carnage on the cutting board, then at her. "I'd hate to see what happens when you aren't being delicate."
She nudges you with her elbow playfully, shaking her head. "You're lucky I'm holding back."
You step forward, gently guiding her hands to show her how to hold the knife with more control. "Here, like this. Less power, more finesse."
For a moment, there's silence between you as she follows your instructions, her movements becoming more careful, more measured. The focus in her eyes shifts, and you can tell she's taking this seriously, even if it's just cooking. She always takes everything seriously, even if her shy nature dominates.
A few minutes pass, and soon, you have a decent pile of vegetables ready for the stir-fry. You smile, watching her work with surprising grace once she's gotten the hang of it. There's a look of quiet satisfaction on her face, a far cry from the fierce dancer you're used to seeing.
"You know," you say, grabbing a pan and setting it on the stove, "for someone who claims not to cook, you're doing pretty well."
Kai'Sa crosses her arms, leaning against the counter as she watches you. "I've had worse battles."
As you heat the oil, you notice she's watching intently, her eyes flicking between the stove and the ingredients you're adding. The oil sputters slightly as you toss the vegetables into the pan, and Kai'Sa jumps back, her eyes wide in alarm.
"Careful!" she warns, her voice carrying that sharp edge she gets when things are serious. Then she realizes how ridiculous she sounds and laughs, shaking her head. "Okay, maybe I did underestimate this whole 'fire' thing."
You laugh too, giving the vegetables a quick stir. "It's all about control. Like dancing or fighting, you just have to get a feel for it."
"Dancing? I'm not sure I see the connection."
