Note: not in line with the previous chapter. This is somewhere after Chay was abducted.

"You need to get him to take off at least 10% of the new fee."

Macau looks at the file in his hands and then back to his Hia serious face. "You want me to negotiate the fee price with him?" he asks just to make sure. His hia never, like never, made him do anything related to business before.

Vegas nods. "I think it's time for you to get involved more in our family business and Chaimongkon is just the right specimen to test it." Vegas underlined the word 'our' in purpose. This is initially Kim's business, but Kim lets Vegas be involved as a token of appreciation for the things the minor family does for Chay.

It is very lucrative and away from the family's business, although not actually legal. Kim finds gold and silver mines, bribes the people who need to be bribed to get it going, exploits the mines, transports them, changes their shape, and sells them in the black market or stores them somewhere no one knows.

He started small and hardly needed any transport system. But then they, he and Vegas, decided to make it legal on a much bigger scale. So they need a safe and reliable means of transport.

That is where Kai comes in. But Kai's price is higher than his contender, although his offers are the safest. Kim's and Vegas's names can guarantee most people will not want to mess with them and their goods, but there is always somebody or an insider's job (Kim's paranoia). So Kai's name will be adding a 10% guarantee to the 90%.

"Errrr.... I'm not sure he will listen to me. He was pretty pissed about Dec last weekend night. He replied to my text with one word only."

What happened last weekend night, you say?

Well last night Dec kissed his cheek (a little too close to the lips, Macau had to admit), something Macau thought was a friendly gesture after all it was Dec's birthday and he handed the guy a present at that point), but Mr Jelousy thought differently. He jumped Dec and got a good two or three blows that Dec needed to go to the hospital for his nose.

They argued badly after that. When Macau decided to accompany Dec to the hospital, Kai was beyond pissed. He didn't say anything, but the way he left said a lot. But back then Macau was pissed too, so he didn't really care. Macau thought after almost a year of relationship and the sacrifices he made for the relationship (going to parties for Kai's family or accompanying Kai's mother and sisters on events and shopping sprees) should at least count for something.

But nooooo... Kai thought so little of him that one harmless little kiss made him lose his shit.

He texted Kai to ask if the guy had moved his head out of his ass or not a day after. Kai replied with a middle finger emoticon. That's it.

Vegas squints his eyes to Macau. "Then do whatever it takes to make him listen and give that 10%!"

Shit.

"Sir, Mr. Theerapanyakul is waiting for you."

His secretary announces. Kai nods without looking up from his papers. He knows that Vegas wants to meet him and talks about the fee. "Send him in."

His secretary bows and disappears behind the door. Not long after, the door opens again and Kai is surprised he looks up and sees his boyfriend instead of Vegas. Dress in black and maroon formal business attire and slick back hair, Macau is a sight to behold. Something inside of Kai stirs awake.

But Kai tries to keep his face neutral. He is still pissed that Mac chose Dec instead of him. Mac looks unsure too. He can see from his body language.

Although they have been seeing each other for almost a year now, Macau has only set foot in this room a handful of times and for no longer than minutes also. Kai likes to keep business and pleasure separate, and Macau has always been the greatest distraction for Kai. He would not get anything done if Macau was in his office. Just like now.
