Once the review was over, The cold stones had a peaceful lunch while talking about the things here and there. Noah on the other hand, was so nervous that he was unable to eat properly. He likes Sam but he was too scared to confess because what if Sam isn't into guys? He could never look at Sam's face ever again. And once their bosses get married, they will be working together and would have to face each other everyday at work. Seeing Noah dazed, Sam shook his hand in front of Noah's face "Back to the earth, Noah." "Huh?" "What are you thinking about?" "N-Nothing." Sam didn't enquire further and continued eating. Noah and Sam were friends since university days. They got the jobs together but at different companies. When they thought they wouldn't be able to meet often, destiny had other plans. At first, Noah got the job at City Y. One year later, he was transferred back and started working for Ryan During his first meeting as Ryan's assistant, he met with Sam and couldn't be happier. He could see Hasan frequently now. The companies they were working for were friends and they got to meet each other almost every week.

Noah realised his feelings for Sam way back during their University days. On their last day, he planned to confess his feelings for Sam only to find out that Sam had proposed to one of his classmates. When he went to talk to Sam about it, he saw them hugging each other in a romantic way. Having his heart broken, Noah walked out of there with no other thoughts in his head. When they met again, Noah decided to stop liking Sam but his heart decided otherwise. Though they were friends, Noah distanced himself from Sam. No matter how hard Sam tried to talk to him as an old friend, Noah always maintained his distance and kept their relationship purely professional. Giving up, Sam had no other choice. But he was determined to get his old friend back. Noah was fully focused on the food in front of him, forgetting about the person sitting opposite to him. Sam was stealing sneaky glances at Noah while eating.

Once the lunch was finished, the Assistants and their bosses discussed the changes that required to be implemented and left to their houses and the working hours were over. They were given a strict instruction by their families that no one was supposed to work after the office hours until the wedding.

Arriving home, Amara collapsed on the couch, tired. Jake looked at his tired sister "Freshen up. We need to go out." Amara frowned "I'm literally just back from work. Let me relax. I'm too tired." As if Jake already expected this, he said "That's why you aren't going to the office till your wedding." Amara's frown grew larger and she opened her eyes and looked at her brother annoyingly "What are you saying?" Jake raised his hands in the air "I'm out of it. Mom instructed Sam to handle everything in the Absence of President Wood and that she would be back after the wedding." "I'm going to the office tomorrow. I have to wrap up the paperwork." Just then, they heard a voice descending from the staircase "No one is going to leave the house from tomorrow. Your wedding is only 2 days away. Step out of the house and you will never see your mother the same way again." That was their mother. There was no way one would disobey the queen bee. Sighing, Amara nodded her head and Debbie was back to her sweet side "Good. Get ready. You will be leaving to the try on the wedding dresses." "Mum, I'm just back from work. I need some slack." Receiving a glare from her mother, Amara could only sigh once again before standing up and leaving to her room.
