Part 52: Madly in love

After 45 minutes, Jake and Amara reached Lucas' brand showroom. Ryan and Crystal were already present there waiting for the latter. On seeing Amara, a wide smile grew over Crystal's lips and she walked forward and embraced Amara in a warm hug. Amara gently hugged her back with a soft smile. She hated physical touch from others. But she simply couldn't push away Crystal. Maybe because she was a young girl or maybe because Crystal reminded Amara of her own-old self. Just then, another couple has appeared in the showroom "Are we welcome?" A sweet voice resounded in there. That was Sara, standing beside Nickolas. The couple walked in, smiling. They walked in and sat down next to the to-be-wedded couple. 

In the next two minutes, 2 tall figures and a short figure appeared in front of the door. That was Nolan, Asher and Jasmine. While Asher and Jasmine were rather calm, Nolan was breathing heavily as if he had just run a marathon. Walking in, Nolan plopped on the couch next to Jake. Jake questioned "Were you chased by the dogs?" Asher spoke "My brother is just getting old." Nolan glared at his brother after catching his breath "Who are you calling old? Do you know how many woman die for this handsome face?" Nickolas who was quiet till then, looked at Nolan in a mocking way "And still, his highness hasn't secured a wife." Asher put his hand around Crystal's shoulder as she was standing next to him and said "Or a girlfriend for that matter." Something pinched Jake's heart and he looked away. Nolan sighed "You all just.. I'll leave." "Dare to leave and I'll smack your head." That was Ryan. Amara was looking around that lively banter in the room. All her people had looked so happy. She wondered if they could stay happy forever like this without any problems. Just then, Lucas walked out from one of the rooms "Is everyone here yet?" Jake looked around and nodded "Yes." "Good good. Let's start the trials now." He looked at Nickolas and Sara "May I have the bridesmaid and best man please?" As they stood up, their assistants guided their way. Soon after, Jasmine, Asher, Jake, Crystal and Nolan were also called leaving the cold stones alone. 

As Amara was sitting next to Ryan, he used this opportunity to pull her closer and held her chin to look into her eyes "Are you nervous to get married?" Looking into those pair of pitch brown eyes with a soft gaze, she nodded honestly. He smiled and even moved closer to her face, almost booping his nose with hers "Don't worry. It's my first time getting married too." Amara hit his chest with a light slap and smiled. "Ahem!" Both of them parted away and looked at the owner of the voice. It was Lucas. "If you both are done being romantic, I would like to fetch President Stone for his dress trial for his first wedding." Amara glared at him "Were you eavesdropping?" "I certainly did not intend to but your voices were loud enough to echo throughout the room." Standing up, Ryan walked towards Lucas. Lucas informed "My assistants will get you in a moment for the dress." Amara nodded and they left.

After the trials were done, all of them headed to their respective houses, except for Jake. The moment he saw Crystal in Asher's embrace, something pricked his heart. He wished to cut Asher's hand right at that moment after he saw him touching her but he had to hold back because...because Crystal was happy. She liked his touch...her face, especially her eyes said it all. He didn't need a word to understand that she is in love with Asher. While he...he was in love with her. Crystal was only in love with Asher. But Jake? He was madly in love. This guy knew there was no way Crystal would love him back the same way. All he could do now is admire her from afar and find her happiness. Just the thought of letting Crystal go brought tears to his eyes and he drove to a pub owned by Wood industries. Reaching inside, he sat down lazily on a chair in a private lounge and he pulled out his phone to make a call. He wanted to drink and get wasted.
