"That was a nice service, right Jelissa?" Philip asks smile shyly and she nodded her head yes agreeing while restocking bulletin papers on the wooden pew bench.
While Loretta is chatting up with Philip's parents, Jelissa volunteer to assist Mr. and Mrs. Robinson's for showing how much she loves and appreciate everything that has done for their community. Philip volunteer as well except, he only wanted to talk to Jelissa since she's been so busy with school and hope to have the courage to ask her out. He has known Jelissa since they were kids and has the biggest crush on.
She's beautiful, nice, has manners, generation and has that wonderful smile that he couldn't help how he feels and hope that he will tell her soon.
Loretta looks at the two and smile, thinking how cute they are and would make the perfect couple.
Although Loretta is against her Lulu talking to any boys, Philip is an exception because not only she's close friends with his mother sister Martha, he's also a handsome respectful young man and the best part, and he's a Christian. However, Jelissa doesn't feel that way toward Philip nor is she aware of his feelings. Her answer will remained the same that she only sees Philip as a good friend and a brother when she has someone else in mind which is Jay-Jay.

"Y-Yes?" she answers after snapping back from her thoughts.
"I um, wanted to ask if maybe you're not doing anything today. We can see a movie?" He asks, smile nervously.
Jelissa clears her throat to his question. Not that she wouldn't mind hanging out with him but, she honestly rather talk to Jay-Jay all day on the phone since she couldn't stop thinking about him.
"Oh I um"
"She loves to go." Loretta intervene, smiling from ear to ear like she was asks to go out. Jelissa looks at her mother wide eyed.
"That does sound like a lovely idea as well. We miss having you around Jelissa." Philip mother, Sister Martha stated her two cents in, left her husband as he talks to his friends.
"H-Hello Mrs. Walker" She greeted with a force smile, feeling nervous as Pastor Lisa notices Jelissa's body language and shakes her head at Loretta.
