Korn finished talking to one of his designers before he headed out of the room. It had been two days since the incident where he slipped on a rag and fell onto his back, dragging Knock down with him. To be so close to his beloved and not be able to kiss him was torture for him. He was just happy that Knock unintentionally looked at his lips and licked his own lips. Though he liked it, it caused a problem for him when his dick decided to wake up, thankfully Knock didn't notice.
Knock had quickly gotten off him and asked if he was alright. He was okay and knew that Knock was feeling awkward, so he decided to leave to spare him. After that, Knock pretended that nothing had happened and went on being himself. Korn took no offense to it but held the memory of being on top of him close to him.
Now today was the day for the coming-of-age ceremony and he was picking up Knock's robe. Technically, the coming-of-age ceremony is very private and they don't let outsiders in, but Knock was one of them now even though it wasn't official. If he wanted to be official in the clan, he would have to do the ceremony for all newcomers. He would have to swear fealty to the head of the clan and then get their tattoo on a body part of the newcomers choosing. The tattoo is an eight on the pain scale and that was to show that betraying the clan would be even more painful than the tattoo. He wouldn't force Knock to do that even though it was tradition for the mate of a dragon mate to get it before they get married.
"Korn!!" A familiar voice said. He was currently in the village below his ancestral home. He had just picked up Knock's robe and was about to go visit his bar to sign some papers that needed to be signed.
He turned around, recognizing his sister's voice. Kavitra was definitely someone who stuck to her guns and didn't let anyone tell her what to do. When their father wanted to marry her to the son of the head of the modern dragon clan, she told her dad she wouldn't marry him since she had a boyfriend. Their father rejected the marriage of Kavitra and Phubet, but in the end neither of them cared and got married anyway. Their father eventually accepted it and welcomed him into the family.
"What are you doing here?" He asked. "Shouldn't you be getting ready?"
"I was grabbing some last minute things and was heading back when I heard you were here." She said.
"I came to get Knock's robe then I was going to stop by the bar to sign some papers." He said making Kavitra narrow her eyes at him.
"I swear Korn, if you are late because you are a workaholic, I will kill you." She said.
"No need to threaten me, we will be there on time." He said. "And I'm not a workaholic."
"Oh sure you aren't, you just spend Monday through Sunday there for fun." She said making Korn roll his eyes.
"I stopped doing that after I met Knock." He said.
"Speaking of Knock, I made sure that everyone knows a human is coming and to be nice." She said.
"They know better than to disrespect a chosen one in front of their mate."
"I didn't stop some of them from harassing Papa."
"They were punished severely for it and now they are long gone now." Korn said. "If anyone thinks about it, they will know the true meaning of living a nightmare."
"The bond is that strong, huh?" She said.
"See you at the ceremony" he said ignoring her last word. He didn't want to admit that his feelings for Knock consumed him. When he got back home after he signed the paperwork, he had about two hours to get Knock and him ready and get to the event.
"Knock, I swear if you haven't woken up, had your coffee and taken a shower, a cold ice bath is in your immediate future." He said.
"Don't you even think about it!!" He yelled back. "I just got out of the shower."
