Knock stared at him for a second before clearing his throat and looking away.
"Just friends?" Knock asked before forcing himself to look at him.
"Just friends"
"Okay" he said. Korn abruptly stood, surprising Knock before he turned to him, causing Knock to give him a confused look. He jumped when Korn waied at him real quick.
"My name is Korn. I'm a 31-year-old gay man. My only living relatives are my older sister and dad. I'm next in line for the title of Lord of the Dragons. I have three best friends since childhood, and I consider my cousins my friends as well. I-" He said before he was interrupted.
"Wait a second, did you just say that you were next in line for the title of lord of the dragons, meaning your a..." He said.
"A dragon" he said before taking a deep breath. "I thought if we are to be friends that we should get to know each other. I wanted you to know this big part of me."
Knock stared at him both in shock and awe. No wonder he got the feeling that he had this strong aura about him. He was a dragon. How freaking cool!!!
"You are really a dragon?" He asked.
"Yeah, don't be afraid because I wouldn't hurt you." He said.
"I'm not afraid." He said. "You being a dragon is not as scary as Nine, Dean and Kongpob's power."
"They told you?" He said a little surprised.
"They couldn't really hide it since Tharn made me feed off him when I was shot." He said. "I knew that Tharn and Type were vampires and asked the others if they were as well, that's when they told me what powers they had."
"Anything else you want to tell me." He said. Korn shook his head before he sat back down, which is when Knock stood, surprising Korn this time. He did a quick wai before introducing himself.
"My name is Knock and I am a seventeen-year-old straight guy who just graduated high school. I am not close with my parents and I'm an only child. I'm closest to my friends and cousin. I have a pretty wicked temper and can be super stubborn when I want to be. I enjoy working out and playing soccer. I can't live without my morning coffee and I don't like people who think they are better than everyone else."
"It's nice to meet you, Knock." He said.
"You too" he said. Knock had a funny feeling that this friendship was either going to be the best thing for him or the worst.
After breakfast, Knock and Korn decided to play a little soccer out in the backyard. Korn had given him a pair of shorts, a tank top, socks and cleats. After getting dressed in their sports outfits and grabbing a soccer ball from the storage closet, they left the apartment and headed downstairs.
"Prepare to have your ass handed to you." Knock said.
"I can see that you are also incredibly cocky for someone who is about to lose." Korn said as they made their way into the kitchen where one of the doors to the backyard was. Knock stopped in his tracks when he saw Tharn and Type putting groceries away. Tharn's arms were in a sling and he had a huge bruise on his check. He then noticed that Korn didn't seem to have any injuries that he could see. Damn, he must be a really good fighter.
Tharn and Type looked up from what they were doing and saw them. Type nudged Tharn in the ribs making Tharn wince a little before moving around the island to stand in front of them. Knock had to force himself not to take a step back. He must not show him any fear.
"I'm sorry for putting my hands on you and leaving the bruise on your neck." Tharn said. Knock nodded then spoke up himself.
"I'm sorry for what I said."
