Early in the morning, aunt Polly entered Finn's room. She froze in place and her mouth remained open when she saw the view in front of her.

Finn and you were snuggled tightly into each other and slept peacefully. Finn was lying on his back, your head was resting on his chest, his strong arms were wrapped around your waist. A lazy smile played on Finn's face and his face was slightly red.

Polly didn't want to wake you up at all, but you had already slept through breakfast and she had come to check on what was going on.

She called John and Esme who had come this morning to discuss important things. Esme smiled, knowing that there was something between you. John grinned and picked up the glass filled with water that was on the bedside table. Then he poured the water on you.

Both of you woke up instantly, sitting up in bed. You first looked at each other, then looked around the room, and when you noticed that you were not alone, you quickly jumped out of bed.

"Rise and shine, love birds." John laughed at your confused faces. You felt your sides turn hot red.

"You became close faster than I expected." Esme shook her hed with a light chuckle.

"So what is it then? Am I going to become an uncle?" John asked more seriously than he should have.

"Ew, no." the words left your mouth with the speed of light. You looked at Finn who was already red as a tomato and was trying to get dressed.

"Whatever, get ready (Y/n), we're going shopping." Polly rolled her eyes at John and walked out.

"Be careful with the babies, aye!" John winked at you, earning himself a slap behind the neck from Esme as they walked out.

Now that it was just you and Finn in the room, you could feel the awkwardness in the air. You turned to him, not knowing what to say.

"Sorry, 'bout that." Finn nervously scratched the back of his head. His cheeks were slowly getting back to their normal pale colour.

"It's okay. It was kinda funny, aye?" you tried to laugh it off, and it did work. Finn laughed and left you alone so you could get ready for the day.

When you walked downstairs Polly and Esme were sitting on the table smoking cigarettes. Finn and John were outside waiting by the car.

"Let's go." Polly put out her cigarette in the ashtray and stood up when she saw you.

You got in the car and the boys left you in front of the market, where they usually bought clothes, then they left. Polly and Esme took you by the hand and pulled you to the area with fancy dresses. You stood there while they showed you different dresses.

"How about this one? Finn likes red." Polly put a dress in front of you to see how it would look on you.

"Why are we here? What do I need a dress for?" you asked as you looked at the dress, which you liked a lot.

"Tomorrow we're going to the races. Didn't Finn tell you?" Emse explained as she was looking through the clothes.

"No, he didn't. Why am I coming? I know nothing about races." you looked at the shoe stand.

"You are part of the family now and you shouldn't leave Finn alone, he gets so drunk at that type of events." Polly pushed a few dresses in your hand and slightly nudged you towards the dressing room.

"Sure." you nodded. You didn't want to go, but you couldn't disobey to them. If it weren't for them, you didn't know what state you would be in now, you were infinitely grateful to them.

You first put on a dark blue satin dress, which they didn't like, then you tried on a white cotton dress, which was also not good enough.

"I want something that will make everyone in the room turn to look at you." Polly explained as you walked back in the dressing room.

The last dress you tried on was perfect as if it was made especially for you. The dress was knee-length, dark red with glitter and black tassels at the end.

"This dress with black gloves and heels, perhaps a pearl necklaces and every single man in England will be yours." Esme exclaimed when she saw you.

"Is it that good?" you asked as you looked at yourself in the mirror.

"It's that good." Polly smiled at you as she put her hand on your shoulder, slightly squeezing it.

You didn't know you needed this until it happened, you were desperately waiting for this moment your whole life. It almost felt like you had a mother. You felt your eyes tearing up and quickly shook away that thought.

"I don't have any money." you turned to look at them.

"Don't worry about it." Esme said as she pulled out a wad of money from her pocket "Thomas thought of everything."

"Yes, now we need heels, gloves and jewellery." Polly said, not wanting to waist any time. You quickly changed back into your own clothes and you went to buy the rest of your needs.

After a long shopping trip, you returned to aunt Polly's house and stretched exhausted on the couch. You were happy with the things you bought and for some reason that you couldn't understand, you wanted Finn to see you in your new outfit. Even more than just seeing you, you wanted him to like you.

Yesterday night had changed everything about the way you saw Finn. From the thoughtless scumbag he had turned into an emotional guy who desperately needed saving, and you loved that about him. You were ready to help him love himself and show him how important he actually was.
