Chapter XIII: Double Detention for Kieran

Third Person POV

                          The Four Gryffindor and Kieran walked back to the castle from Hagrid's hut, they were wondering what would happen now that Malfoy had seen them with Hagrid. They did not expect what happened when they were close to the entrance. Professor McGonagall with a Lantern in hand and Malfoy behind her looking at them Smugly. She led them to her office, with a stern look on her face which to the five of them only told them they were in big trouble.
                                                        "I'm disgusted," said Professor McGonagall. "Four students out of bed in one night! I've never heard of such a thing before! You, Miss Granger, I thought you had more sense. As for you, Mr. Potter, I thought Gryffindor meant more to you than this. All four of you will receive detentions, nothing gives you the right to walk around school at night, especially these days, it's very dangerous -- and fifty points will be taken from Gryffindor. and Slytherin"
                                                       "Fifty!?" Harry gasped - -- they would lose the lead, the lead he'd won in the last Quidditch match.
                                                       "Fifty points each," said Professor McGonagall, breathing heavily through her long, pointed nose.
                                                     "Professor -- please--"
                                                    "each?!" Kieran sounded like he had been insulted.
                                                      "You can't--"
                                                       "Don't tell me what I can and can't do, Potter. I've never been more ashamed of Gryffindor students. As Punishment all Six of you will serve detention"
                                                        "Excuse me professor perhaps I heard you wrong, you said six," Said Malfoy as his smirk had vanished from his face.
                                                       "No, You heard me right. As noble as your intentions were Mr. Malfoy, you too were out of bed and that will be twenty points from Slytherin as well. " McGonagall said as A small smile formed on the quartet Yet Kieran wasn't smiling. "Now get back to bed, all of you."

                  Kieran and Malfoy were walking side by side towards their common room. Obviously each is mad at one another. No one was Speaking until Kieran noticed the smile on Malfoy's face. 
                                                      "Why are you smiling Malfoy?" Kieran asked almost mad.
                                                     "You see Cunningham," He began "Potter, Weasley, and Granger just lost 200 points to their house" 
                                                      "Oh sure you had a hand on that but guess what" Kieran replied with an angry tone "You just lost us 70 points too" 
                                                     "It was worth it Cunningham," Malfoy said "Besides it serves you right for hanging out, with oafs, blood traitors and mud-" before Malfoy finished that sentence Kieran pulled out his wand and pointed it straight to  Malfoy, He was pissed and Malfoy was scared 
                                                       "Finish that sentence Malfoy I dare you" He threatened "I promise you I'll paste your tongue to the top of your mouth so you can't speak again got it?" He said making Malfoy give a really quick nod. Once Kieran backed off and continued walking ahead from him Kieran heard Malfoy mumble something about his father learning about this. In one Night, and all thanks to Malfoy snitching, Gryffindor fell from 200 points. At first, Gryffindors passing the giant hourglasses that recorded the house points the next day thought there'd been a mistake. How could they suddenly have two hundred points fewer than yesterday? And then the story started to spread: Harry Potter, the famous Harry Potter, their hero of two Quidditch matches, had lost them all those points, him and a couple of other stupid first years. From being one of the most popular and admired people at the school, Harry was suddenly the most hated. Even Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs turned on him, because everyone had been longing to see Slytherin lose the house cup. Everywhere Harry went, people pointed and didn't trouble to lower their voices as they insulted him. Slytherins, on the other hand, clapped as he walked past them, whistling and cheering, but not all of the Slytherins. Kieran was surprised how one night changed the dynamics of the castle, everyone hating on Harry Potter for loosing too many points. Hermione and Zach also suffered but not as much as Harry. Zach would simply ignore everyone who ignored him, he only spoked to Harry, Ron Hermione, Hector, Gaby, Alexander and even Kieran. But Hermione even if she wasn't as well know as Harry she was also getting ignored. Hermione had stopped drawing attention to herself in class, keeping her head down and working in silence. Unfortunately, Kieran wasn't recieving hate for loosing 50 points. Because it didn't disavantaged Slytherin. Kieran was studying late in the common room, alone, even tho he hated, Malfoy told the rest of the Slytherin house that Kieran was also among the students who lost 50 points to their houses, so in the first time this term the older students attention changed from Hector to Kieran. So Kieran studying was early in the library and whem it was late at night he was alone in the common area. One particular day he was studying in the library near Ron, Hermione and Zach, When Harry walked close to his friends and Kieran since he was near them and he was up to speed with everything so there was no point in excluding him. Harry told them what he'd heard.
                                                                          "Snape's done it, then!" said Ron. "If Quirrell's told him how to break his Anti-Dark Force spell--"
                                                                            "There's still Fluffy, though," said Hermione.
                                                              "Maybe Snape's found out how to get past him without asking Hagrid," said Ron, looking up at the thousands of books surrounding them. "I bet there's a book somewhere in here telling you how to get past a giant three-headed dog. So what do we do, Harry?"  Kieran was deep in thought, thinking if there was a way to get past a three headed dog when harry spoke
                                                                                 "No," said Harry flatly, "we've done enough poking around." He pulled a map of Jupiter toward him and started to learn the names of its moons.
