Chap 19 - Coffee?

I stared into the dark irony mixed with raven black clouds covering the whole sky inviting the gloomy lonely feeling into the breathing souls, while wind took the leaves with it into the infinity brushing past everyone. I watched the birds snuggled into each other under the now wet tree leaves fluffed their soft feathers to keep them warm against the chilled morning. And there was another one alone on a branch hugging itself, trying to survive the cold and lonely feeling by its own little warm beating heart.

I always loved this climate, it gave a feeling which left me speechless and lost in another world. It gave out a scary vibe with all the darkness but even the most dangerous hearts got calmed by its feel. Most of people's lives are much more like this climate, looks scary but deep down such soft people. Maybe that's why most kind souls are addicted to it.

I was standing by the window in my office which was in the top floor, giving me a good view of the outside world. Hmm coffee is the best thing to have at a time like this and seeing I missed my morning coffee, I turned around with a sigh leaving my strawberry shade nose, ugh it's cold. I walked to my desk grabbing my coat and wallet with it to leave this stressful place for a moment. Learning to run a business is not easy and fun like it looks in the movies.

"Going somewhere? " Stacey's voice boomed into the silent room, I looked at her standing near the door with some files in her hand.

"Yeah, do you need anything?" I asked her calmy looking straightly at her eyes, ready to leave.

"These are the files you requested from the finance department, and Mr. Davies said to give you these files as well to check" she said handing over some files and a different binder, I kept them on the table and left the room thanking her on the way out.

"And you have a meeting with Mr. Kim at 10'o clock" Stacey semi yelled to make sure I heard it, I nodded my head, I have plenty of time to be here by the time. Andrew came to me as I signaled him to follow, we both entered the elevator, I looked at myself from the mirror glass, adjusting my full black suit. We got out from the grand parking and walked to the car.

"Ms. Davies you can stay here or stay by the entrance, I'll bring the car over. You don't have to walk all the way" Andrew said with a little worry and caring filled voice.

Normally I would stand by the entrance and he would pull the car over to me, but today I'm in a mood to walk around. I smiled gently at him and shook my head.

"Nuh, it's fine Andrew. This weather makes me lazy so I want to walk and enjoy it, lead the way." I pulled my coat from the collars some more, snuggling into it. We came to a stop when we saw the "Aston Martin Vanquish" beauty with peanut hue sitting all by herself, cleaned and shiny. I could see myself through the glossy body of hers. I got into it and closed the door behind me.

"Where to Ms. Davies?" Andrew looked at me by the rear view and roaring the engine ready to leave.

"Somewhere I can get a coffee" I said getting comfortable and stared out while we rummage to find coffee.

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee hit my still rose nose, I took a small sip from the hot cup and leaned to the couch watching the drizzling cold weather by the window. Looks like sky is agonizing about something today. I started to think all the sudden decisions parents took and how my life will take a turn over after 2 weeks of time.

Vanessa was an elegant girl and looks like she got a kind heart too, seeing her and talking to her makes me feels like I'm missing something like a puzzle, I closed my eyes and tried remembering her face, well I didn't even have to sweat, the moment I closed my eyes her emerald green eyes with golden streaks creeping from the iris started appearing in a flash.
