Dylan's POV
Why did they arrange an engage to me? Was this their sole reason to leave Australia and come here, to just marry me off to someone I don't know? Didn't I have any say in this? So all those money stealing from the company was a lie. It's a big made up lie. I can't believe this!
I was now in living room, sitting on the couch. Everyone went home just few minutes back. I looked at my watch to check the time and it read 10:45, I sighed I was alone in the living room while my parents and grandparents were somewhere in the house, actually right now I don't give a dammit about their whereabouts.
I kind of ignored the party after mom announced the horrible news, after the dinner I excused them and went to the backyard and stayed in the patio under the big oak tree. But before no time I was called inside by non-other than my mom to say goodbye to the people.
Of course me being the obedient child even though I was hurt by what they did, I went in and said goodbye to everyone. And god it was a hell, cause everyone kept congratulating me, at one time I felt like screaming at them but I hold myself back. I made sure not to come across the Adam's family and soon skipped the people and came to the living room.
I was staring at the floor thinking why did they do this? I mean they could have informed me early so I can be prepared to whatever happened but no they had to do this secretly. It's not like that the girl was ugly, she was indeed beautiful but we don't know about her real self.
I was snapped out of my daze when I heard someone calling me. I turned my head to see who it was, and there stood mom, dad, Xavier and grandparents. I turned back and stared at the floor again.
"Dylan baby what's wrong?" mom voiced out. It really made my blood to boil. At once I stood from where I was seated and faced them from fuming with anger.
"WHAT'S WRONG? YOU DARE TO ASK ME WHAT'S WRONG??" I shouted at her with a deep voice, she shivered a little but composed herself back.
"You'll not speak to your mother in that way Dylan!" Grandma said pointing her index finger at me, I faced her with the same face.
"Grandma please stay out of this, I don't have anything with you guys. Please let me deal it with them!!" I said her pointing at my parents. She went to speak again but mom raised her hand and stopped her from speaking and looked at me.
"Dylan you will not raise your voice at me!! Just tell us what's wrong?" she said taking few steps towards me. Is she serious? Is she asking me what's wrong when she knows what's wrong?
"Mom tell me why you guys arranged an engage to me without even informing me in first hand?" I looked into her eyes for answers and she-- smiled? WHAT THE HECK?
"We did it for your own good baby" mom said without any hesitation. MY OWN GOOD?. Is she out of her mind, in fact is she even listening to herself? Well this really made me go out of control.
"MY OWN GOOD?" I questioned her and started to laugh. They were looking at me like I have grown another head. Mom opened her mouth but I stopped her by raising my hand.
"Arranging an engage to your daughter without enlightening her about it is for her own good? Oh and stopping me from going to college and withdrawing the chance to experience a new environment and to meet new friends is for my own good?
Most importantly dragging us here from the place where we grew up for something useless is for my own good?" I berated with so much anger and pain.
"THAT'S ENOUGH DYLAN!!!" dad's voice boomed through the hall, I'm not going to lie it made shivers to run down my spine due to the afraid but being stubborn as usual and due to the pain I started to shout again. Xavier was shaking his head due to the behavior.
