Chapter 09 - Accident

I stopped at the entrance of the kitchen and looked around to see many maids rushing around hysterically. I strode to the island and pulled out a chair and sat keeping the right elbow on the island with the chin on the fist.

I was looking at everyone when a certain maid grabbed my attention, who was currently kneeling in front of prince and pouring food to his bowl, she kept the pack aside and patted prince's head giggling who was now wagging his tail frantically and eating rather quickly like someone would snatch his food away from him.

Suddenly my sight was covered with a white sheet I looked up and saw a maid smiling down at me.

"Young Davies, would you like to eat something? Seeing you weren't there for the breakfast." The old maid questioned kindly. She's not that old maybe around mid-50's, that's not old right?

"Yes please, I'm so hungry. And did you happen to see my mother? I heard she was looking for me." I asked

"Well I'll bring the dish, umm yeah Mrs. Davies was in the garden with Mr. Davies" she said after pondering for a while. I nodded to her. She went back to bring my dish, when she went out of my sight I looked back the same place where the beauty was but she wasn't there neither the prince.

"Young Davies, I hope you'll enjoy the dish and here yours favorite chocolate milk" she kept both the plate and the glass of chocolate milk on the island. Mm smells good, my mouth watered just by looking at the food and the milk.

"Thank you umm.." I looked at her sheepishly.

"It's Diana, young Davies." She smiled but it didn't reach her eyes, there were something behind that smile. Like an unsayable sadness, but I didn't go to inquire it cause I was so hungry.

"Thank you Diana" I said politely and focused on food. She returned to work with other maids. I finished the food and drank the chocolate milk in a one breath. Jesus I'm stuffed, ugh! Can't breathe. I slid a bit down and spread the legs wide closing the eyes. I was relaxing when I felt a hard smack to the back side of the head, I stood in a blink glaring at Xavier who was laughing clutching his stomach. I gave a hard punch to his stomach he doubled over in pain.

"I guess it's not that funny, is it Xavier?" I smirked at him, he glared and started cussing, I walked to him and stretched my arm to him to stand he took it and stood.

"Did you eat alone?" he asked looking at the now empty plate and the glass.

"Yes I did, you took too long to come, I was hungry" I whined he chuckled and ruffled my hair.

"Go meet mom and dad, they are waiting for you" he said smiling and walking to the island.

"Where are they?" I looked back at him

"In the back garden" he waved his hand. I started to walk to the west side of the house and went outside. I got down the steps and started to find mom and dad while absorbing the beautiful nature around me, there had a mini forest to the east side of the backyard.

I kept walking to that side when I heard people chatter sound and a big laugh which I recognize as mom. I turned the corner to come to face both my beautiful parents sitting and having some tea in the patio which was under an enormous oak tree. I stopped at the tracks and took a while to admire my lovely parents.

Dad was whispering something to mom's ear, mom blushed deeply her whole cheeks are redder than a tomato; she hid in dad's neck mumbling something. I chuckled to myself, they were like a high school couple.
