Samuel Grimes
I went off with Shane and we looked for Sophia, came back by noon, empty handed. He doesn't really believe that we'll find that little girl, I do. I believe we can. Daryl has probably already got her trail and is following it. If not us then he'll find her, he's a tracker, if anybody he can do it. He hasn't come back yet, but it's still light outside so he should be fine.
My mom and other women decided to make dinner for everyone, specifically for Hershel's family, as a thanks for hosting us. I wandered around trying to find something to do. I already wrote a short entry in my journal and scrubbed a sketch of the farmhouse for good measure and now I'm bored. I wandered to the RV and found chess which I borrowed, not really borrowed, I didn't even take it outside of the RV, just plopped down on a bed on the back and started playing. I didn't have anyone to play with so I set up the board horizontally against me and played for both sides. Not my first time playing like this with only myself, it's actually more fun than it looks like.
Then Glenn walked inside, but he didn't notice me and plopped down at the table down the hallway, so I just continued playing quietly. He's probably looking for Dale who isn't here. Dale appears there like twenty minutes later.
"Sorry, just wanted to return the book." Glenn speaks.
"No, I'm sorry. If I known the world was ending, I'd have brought better books." Dale answers.
I can't really see them but I can hear them perfectly fine from where I'm sitting.
"Dale do you think Andrea is on her period?" Glenn asks suddenly.
I don't blame him. That woman went a little nuts lately. She doesn't want to do anything, only play cool girl, she doesn't want to cook, wash clothes or anything that is considered "women's" work. She just takes watches and stuff like that. Sure, I understand, break the gender roles and all, but it doesn't make sense. T-Dog can't cook, neither can Dale, or Glenn, or Shane, or Daryl but they can handle a gun way better than her, while she can cook perfectly fine. So why not do work everyone is best at? Doesn't make sense. Maybe she is on her period.
"I'm only asking because it's like all women are acting really weird. And I read somewhere that when women spend a lot of time together, their cycles line up and they all get super crazy hormonal at the same time." Glenn continues speaking.
"I'm-... I'm gonna advise you to keep that theory to yourself." Dale answers. "Who else is acting weird?"
"Maggie. She started off being mean to me. Then she wanted to have sex with me. And now she is being mean to me again." Glenn sighs. "And I don't even want to know what's going on with Lori."
"What's going on with Lori?"
"Nothing. I don't know." Glenn's answer is not really convincing.
What's going on with my mom? Now I'm curious too. I'll need to catch Glenn on that one later.
"Alright, let's take this back a step. How do you know that Maggie wanted to have sex with you?" Dale asked and there was silence in response.
Oh my God.
"The way you go." I say chuckling a little.
"How long you been there?" Glenn speaks up and I raise my head seeing that both men were now standing in the doorway of the room in front of me.
"Like... two hours maybe." I shrug my shoulders. "Sorry. Was that private? I just didn't want to interrupt." I say apologetically.
"No, it's fine." Glenn shakes his head.
"You playing chess. By yourself?" Dale asks, his thick eyebrows raising up on his forehead in surprise as he stared down at the board in front of me.
"Yes. Do you mind if I borrow it?" I say gesturing to the board with pieces. "I'm sorry, I just figured you wouldn't... mind."
