NATHANIEL was officially Diana and Alice's delivery man. They wanted to party tonight, and he wouldn't let Alice go anywhere without him. That, or he secretly enjoyed their company.
Diana stood, her face leaning close to the mirror door. She stuck her lips out as she applied a thick gloss. She popped back, looking at her overall outfit, using her thumb to wipe some gloss off and smacked her lips.
"Done," Diana said and winked.
"Almost ready. I've got to put my shoes on," Alice quickly tied her shoes to her feet.
They wore very different outfits because they wanted to be in very different places right then. Alice wanted to stay home. They were always always doing things, and Alice wanted to be able to breathe again. So she wore some jeans and a lacey blue top and hoped to god her hair wasn't a complete mess of brown tangle.
Diana wanted to get wasted and probably have sex with Christopher in celebration that their last freaky episode hasn't caused a baby and that this one wouldn't either. She wore a dress and heels.
"Come on, Nathaniel's going to change his mind," Alice said, finally. She actually hoped he did.
"I'm coming, I'm coming." Diana said quickly as she followed Alice.
Nathaniel stood leaning against the wall, twirling his keys around on his finger. He looked up at the two of them.
"Finally ready?" He said with a bit of an annoyed tone.
"Don't whine, Nathaniel," Alice rolled her eyes. "And yes, we're ready." Nathaniel smiled and tossed his keys up before catching them.
"Great," he said.
Next thing Alice knew, she was being blown away by wind. Nathaniel loved that damned Cadillac Allante of his. He drove it so fast it nearly gave her an aneurysm.
When his foot hit the break and his fingers ran through his hair and he pulled his keys out all in a quick motion, Alice was still trying to pull her soul back into her body. Nathaniel slid his keys in his front pocket and jumped over the car door.
"Get out," Nathaniel said calmly.
Diana and Alice gave each other a look and then hopped over the car and onto the cement below. By the time they had, though, Nathaniel was already walking towards the door. Alice rolled her eyes and quickly followed.
Nathaniel purposefully let the door close on their faces and continued into the club. Diana opened the doors after a sigh that had no real feeling of anger behind it.
By the time they were two steps into the club, they were totally engulfed in its energy. Vibrating, heavy bass pumped through Alice's body like it were her own blood and smutty, disturbing lyrics rang through her ears. She was half-certain she'd go deaf afterward.
As lucky as any underaged party girl, she couldn't buy any alcohol. Alice sat at the bar, her elbows wide onto the counter, and a bored look on her eery face.
She felt fingers lightly cross her shoulder before a body sat into the stool next to her. She was about to break his nose, and when she realized the idiot was Nash, she let her fists calm.
"What are you doing following me?" Alice asked, annoyed.
"I need to make sure my little bridge isn't cheating on me," he said with overly enthusiastic sarcasm. His veiny hand picked up a shot glass, and he drank it, his hollow cheeks filled.
"Seriously, I was trying to have a nice time. Remind me that my life is on the line tomorrow." Alice leaned backward, taking a sigh and letting her eyes slide back over to him. He met her eyes with his. Alice felt it only for a second. And God, she hated that second, but her heart loved it, and it craved it.
