‘to my ancestors…end me now please.’ i prayed while preparing for the moment that has yet to come.

⌗ [name] pov ⌗

i looked at him and said , “hi lua ,” with a solemn wave to him too.

‘i honestly didn't think i would get found out this easily , or this soon , but here we are.’ i thought to myself.

i walked up to him , crouched down to his height and told him that i would explain why i'm here after we get through this portion to get to the next one , before walking away from him and his new friend to another section of the platform as more people started to trickle in from the stairs.

the only reason i told him that i would tell him later was because it gave him a reason to get to the next portion of the exam , other than wanting to get through it with his new found friend.

soon the concrete platform we were all standing on filled with more people trickling in from the stairs waiting for the next set of instructions to be said/explained.

as he was explaining why we were here at the entrance of a forest , or rather the swindlers swamp , some people were raising their hand to ask him if this was the entrance to the second phase , but they soon discovered that it was in fact not the entrance to the second phase and that we still had a ways to go.

the longer he explained the details of the swamp and what we had to do if we wanted to successfully get through to the second phase , which was to follow him through , and if we didn’t then we were dead.

after he explained the consequences of being deceived , the metal shutter started to close.

“hey! wait for me!” someone called out to us , there was really nothing anyone could do to stop the sutter from shutting , so most of us just ignored him and waited for satoz to continue explaining whatever this swamp forest was all about.

he continued on explaining how the creatures of the swindlers swamp could deceive us , as it was natural of them too since it was in their blood and all , but it made sense to some people.

“follow or be fooled” as one might think , but most of the other people on the platform didn’t seem to understand that it was basically implying “survival of the fittest” stuff.

before satoz could get started on trekking through the swamp , somebody had popped out from behind the wall and accused satoz of being a fake and was lying to all of us , as there were many things inside the swamp that could either copy someone’s voice or appearance.

some people believed the man that randomly shown up , others hadn’t believed him. since if satoz was a fake examiner he would attacked us by now , but most people didn’t understand that concept.

rather a very familiar clown had thrown six cards , three at satoz and the other three at the accuser. the accuser didn’t catch the cards , so they punctured his chest and head and died.

satoz on the other hand caught all three cards that were aimed at him. two caught in one hand and the other one caught in his other hand.

and soon enough the sound of shuffling cards infiltrated everyone’s ears , so everyone turned around to face the man that was shuffling said cards.

“well that settles it then ,” the man , hisoka marrow , said , not even bothering to look at everyone that turned to look at him and continued shuffling his deck of cards one last time before muttering out , “you’re the real examiner.” , as everyone then faced back towards satoz , who still had the cards in his hands before tossing them all to the ground.

most people had faces of shock as they all looked at satoz , since they used to believe the now dead man before hisoka had struck him unexpectedly.

hisoka then went on to explain how the examiners are hunters , as normal people or people without a hunter’s license wouldn't be allowed to be an examiner , and that they are basically trained for something like , hisoka unexpectedly throwing cards , to occur and added in the fact that none of them get paid to be an examiner.

satoz replied accepting hisoka “compliment” towards him and then reminded him that if he were to do something like , attacking an examiner , again that he would be immediately disqualified from taking the hunter exam.

after that agreement , everyone turned to where the dead body lays as vultures started to surround him and eat at him , satoz started to explain the real reason as to why he had done such a thing as a man-faced ape.

after outing a few people that were tricked into thinking the man-faced ape was the “real examiner” , we then quickly moved on to continuing the first phase or rather starting ‘phase one;part two’

after running for a bit , i had lost track of satoz , lua and his friend and pretty much everyone else.
i did notice a small group – about five people – following me as i moved about the swamp , but ultimately paid them no mind.
that was until one tried to attack me using the fog as a shield – key word : tried – but being around assassins my whole life and the troupe as well i was able to pinpoint them and dodge the oncoming attack.
they threw some sort of puncturing weapon at me but i leaned back just enough for it to graze my face slightly. what i also noticed was that it was connected to some string or something else that was used to swing it back to them. i ducked underneath it just in time , but that didn’t stop them. each of them had one of these weapons so it was a bit difficult ducking and dodging the weapons every so often.
i was getting bored of them trying to hit me the same way over and over again so i ended the battle by wrapping my strings / webs around each of them and ultimately sliced them up in different ways and then just left them there to bleed out.
using my ability tracker {spider eye} i managed to find the tiny spider i put onto llumi and followed it to where phase two would be held , i think.
after finding the specific spider i followed it and made my way over.

after a month or so..
I've been working on other stories since I haven't had many ideas for this book or rather chapter , but finally worked on it and finished it.
