A few days have passed, and I was back in the Dojo. Kreese let me join, but it was clear he didn't really want me there. I could feel it in my body—everything hurt. He made me work out ten times harder than anyone else, and my muscles were close to collapsing. But besides that, Johnny and I were on good terms. We secretly saw each other because I couldn't tell Daniel... at least, not yet. The dojo was the perfect place to meet since Daniel wasn't there, and we didn't have to pretend to hate each other. I knew lying was wrong, but seriously, how could I tell Daniel that I liked his bully?

On Tuesday morning, I got up for school. I quickly made myself breakfast and told Daniel that Ali was picking me up, so I wouldn't need my bike. When I went outside, Ali was already waiting in her car. The drive to school was fine, though she talked about Daniel the whole time. They were cute together, but I honestly wanted to puke. Once we got out of the car, I told her I'd see her at lunch, and I headed to English class.

When I got there, I saw Bobby.

"Hey" he smiled.

"Hi, Bobby" I replied.

"So, you and Johnny, huh?" he asked with a smirk. I just rolled my eyes.

"Oh, come on! You both like each other, just start dating already!" Bobby teased. I couldn't help but smile to myself.

"Yeah, well, there's Daniel. Plus, this thing with Johnny hasn't even been going on for a week. I'm not sure if Johnny would even want to date" I shrugged.

"Why don't you just tell Daniel? And trust me, Johnny would be ready. He can't stop talking about you" Bobby said with a grin, nudging me as I turned completely red.

"I wish it were easy to tell Daniel, but it's not. I need to give it some time" I said. Before Bobby could respond, the teacher started the lesson.

After school, Ali and the girls waved me over. They wanted to go on a shopping trip and have a sleepover since school was canceled tomorrow for conferences. I happily agreed and got into the car.

Ali quickly dropped me off at home so I could grab my things for the sleepover. I left a note for Ma and Daniel to let them know I wouldn't be home. After quickly eating, I took my bike and headed to Susan's house. When I rang the bell, everyone was already there. We all got in the car and drove to the mall, singing songs and laughing.

"Come on, let's go!" Ali laughed as we entered a clothing store. They started looking at pretty dresses until Barbara spoke up.

"Is this good for the Country club?" she asked.

"Country club?" I asked, confused.

"Yeah, there's this Country club thing on Saturday that our moms make us go to" she replied.

"That sounds awful" I laughed.

"Hey, Y/N, why don't you come with us? It'd be way more fun if you joined!" Ali suggested.

"Isn't that just for, like... rich people?" I asked.

"Oh, come on, Y/N! You're with us, and after that, there's a beach party, so we can go together!" Ali smiled.

"Alright" I said, smiling back.

They all quickly bought dresses, and Ali offered to let me borrow one of her old ones. I was happy with that since I didn't want to buy a dress I'd only wear once.

Once we were done, we drove back to Susan's house and had a girls' night. We talked about boys and how annoying some teachers were.

"So, Y/N" Susan asked, "Do you have anyone on your mind right now?"

"Umm, well, no... I mean, maybe?" I replied awkwardly.

"What? OMG, who???" they all asked.

I couldn't tell them because Johnny was Ali's ex, and I was scared it would make things weird. "Seriously, there's no one" I laughed it off, but they still looked suspicious. Thankfully, Susan changed the subject. As we kept talking, it got later and later, and eventually, we all went to sleep.
