the beach

The roar of motorcycles shattered the peaceful vibe of the beach party, turning heads and causing a wave of whispers. I glanced up, my heart skipping a beat, as a pack of bikers stormed in, their wheels churning up clouds of sand.

Among them, one rider was impossible to ignore—a tall, blonde guy with an air of arrogant confidence. His red leather jacket gleamed in the fading sunlight, and a black bandana was wrapped around his forehead like a badge of rebellion. He was really good-looking, but his attitude quickly made him less appealing.

"Ali, I need to talk to you!" his voice sliced through the party noise.

"Leave me alone!" Ali shot back, clearly on edge.

"We've been over this," she continued, frustrated. "I don't want to talk!" She cranked up the music, hoping to drown him out.

The guy's eyes narrowed, and his fists tightened at his sides. "I want to talk to you, alright?" he barked, grabbing the radio and yanking it off.

Ali's face flushed with irritation. "What's your problem? Just get out of here!"

"That won't solve anything" The guy said.

Ali was clearly annoyed and turned the music up again.

That's when the guy snatched her radio away "Give me my radio," Ali said, almost pleading. "I said, give me my radio" she yelled.

"You promise you'll talk to me?" The guy asked.

"Yes, just give me my radio," Ali responded, her voice tight with anger. Once she got it she smirked turning the music up again. He grabbed the radio and smashed it on the ground. The loud crack of the broken radio echoed through the beach.

"You just broke my radio!" Ali yelled, her voice a mix of fury and disbelief.

"What a jerk," I muttered to Freddy, shaking my head. "Who does this guy think he is?"

"Yeah, that's Johnny Lawrence. But I wouldn't mess with him—he's got a bad temper," Freddy whispered. So that's his name. I thought. Just then, I saw Daniel moving toward Ali and Johnny. Oh no, please don't do anything stupid.

"Don't touch it, punk," Johnny warned.

"What's going on?" Daniel asked, trying to get the radio back for Ali. Johnny snatched it away once more.

"You want it?" Johnny taunted, pushing the radio so hard into Daniel that he stumbled and fell. That was it. I started to move over when I felt someone pulling me back.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Freddy warned.

"Freddy, that's my brother. I'm not going to let him get hurt," I said, my anger boiling over.

Freddy was about to respond when we both turned to see Johnny bleeding from his nose. Did Daniel do that?

"No mercy, man," Johnny sneered before landing a hard punch on Daniel. I stormed over. Daniel lay on the ground, clearly embarrassed.

"What the hell is your problem?" I yelled, my voice trembling with rage.

"Look who we have here," Johnny sneered, a cruel smile on his face. "Do you need to fight his battles because he can't handle them? Poor little guy." His smirk only made me more furious.

That was it. I slapped him and pushed him away, not wanting to start a fight but determined to get him to leave. I wasn't about to be his next target.

"You think you're tough, don't you?" Johnny snarled, grabbing my shirt in a tight fist.

"Let go of me," I hissed, my voice steadier than I felt. His grip tightened for a moment, his knuckles brushing against my collarbone. The air between us crackled with tension, the world around us fading as I met his piercing blue eyes. For a split second, something flickered there—something that almost looked like surprise. But just as quickly, it was gone, replaced by that arrogant smirk.

"You've got guts," he said, his voice low and almost... impressed? "But that doesn't mean you're safe." His gaze traveled over me, assessing, calculating, before he finally released his grip, pushing me back a step. My pulse raced as I struggled to maintain my composure.

But before things could escalate, Ali stepped in.

"Why do you always have to fight?" she shouted, her voice full of frustration.

"Bullshit. Get on your bikes, guys," Johnny barked, and the chaos finally began to dissipate.

Daniel was still lying on the ground. I saw Ali and quickly shook my head, signalling her to leave him alone.

"I'm really sorry you had to see that. I'll catch you at school, okay?" she said, her voice softening.

"It's okay. And yeah, see you," I replied quietly, kneeling next to Daniel.

"Hey, you alright?" I asked, trying to help him up.

"Just leave me alone," he muttered, wincing in pain.

"Daniel, I'm not going anywhere. That guy's a jerk, and I'm taking you home," I said firmly.

With great effort, Daniel managed to get up, leaning heavily on me. Thankfully, Freddy was there to drive us home, his face grim but relieved.

As we drove away from the beach, the sun dipping below the horizon, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was only the beginning. Johnny Lawrence had made it clear he wasn't the type to back down easily, and neither was I.
