- "I still remember when I was little and lived in that convent. I'm sure that if any of those nuns saw what I've become, they'd think it's all a trick. Well, we're getting a bit off-topic; let me get back to the story of my fifteenth birthday. Back then, I was so excited, thinking everything would be new and thrilling. What child doesn't look forward to their birthday with joy? And after dreaming for so long about leaving that place, it was finally going to happen—I would leave the church and not step foot in it for a while. But before that, I wanted to fulfill all my dreams."
- "Hey, silly, wipe that look off your face. It's not like you're getting adopted; it's the opposite for us—they're selling you like a cow," says a shrill voice from the other side of the room.
- "Hi, Cassandra. How did it go with Father Robert?" she asks with a smile as she places her diary on the bed.
- "Same as always, that old man is so bitter. He never lets us do anything fun or even normal like other kids," Cassandra says as she flops down on Violet's bed.
- "Maybe if you stopped calling him that, he would stop punishing you. And maybe you'd get adopted sooner if you weren't so... you," she says with a smile while stroking Cassandra's arm.
- "No way! They've brainwashed you too? Next, you'll tell me I should stop seeing Marcos," she says dramatically.
- "Well, you should stop that too because if something happens because of him, you'll be punished for life, and we won't be able to do what we've always dreamed of after leaving here. So please, be careful. And if he must come, make sure it's not at midnight like last time, and definitely not sneaking in during the night," she says seriously, looking into Cassandra's eyes and holding her hand.
- "You know I only have eyes for you, right? And that you're the best friend in the whole wide world."
- "Because I let you use my room to meet your secret boyfriend."
- "Yeah, that too. But if we're talking about secret boyfriends, what about that Stefan guy?" she says as she moves closer and grabs her diary. "Have you two... done it?"
The moment Cassandra mentioned the name Stefan, everyone who knew him stared at her, once again wondering how she had met the sweet girl who once dreamed of escaping her church, only to later become the demonic being that had tormented them for such a long time.
- "I don't know who you're talking about," she says, trying to grab the diary from her friend's hands.
- "Done it?"
- "Yeah, you know, the sexual act, intercourse, basically screwing."
- "Stop blaspheming."
- "But did you do it?"
- "That's not something you should ask," she says with a smile and a blush.
