Siya couldn’t tear her eyes away from him, her heart inexplicably speeding up. There was something about him—something she couldn’t quite understand, something that stirred her in a way she had never felt before.

Everyone stood as Raghuveer entered. Angad introduced Jaya and Arun, to which Raghuveer responded with a curt nod before seating himself on the sofa, right next to where Siya was sitting. Siya’s nerves began to fray; she could feel his gaze on her, and it made her hands fidget uncontrollably.

Sayesha, captivated by Raghuveer’s presence, seized the opportunity to introduce herself, a flirtatious smile playing on her lips. “Hi, I’m Sayesha,” she purred, but Raghuveer didn’t seem the least bit interested, his focus entirely on Siya.

Jaya, in an attempt to draw attention back to Sayesha, began praising her again, but Sanjay’s attempt to introduce himself to Raghuveer was met with indifference, as Raghuveer ignored his outstretched hand. Instead, Anjana spoke up, her voice tender, “Beta, ye dekho… yahi hai humari Siya.”

Siya’s confusion deepened. Who were these people, and why were they referring to her as "humari Siya"? And why was this man, with his intimidating aura, staring at her as if she were the only person in the room? And what was wrong with her maasi behaving all sweet and kind.

As Anjana introduced her, Raghuveer uttered her name, “Siya…” The way he said it sent a shiver down her spine. His voice was low, almost possessive. Siya gulped, feeling his gaze burn into her.

Despite the ongoing conversation, Raghuveer continued his silent scrutiny, as if he were studying her every move, every expression. Meanwhile, Sanjay, visibly irritated, watched the scene unfold, and Sayesha, undeterred, shifted closer to Raghuveer, attempting to draw his attention with her actions.

But Raghuveer’s eyes never left Siya.

Jaya, noticing the tension, signaled Siya to follow her. Siya, eager to escape Raghuveer’s intense stare, excused herself and followed Jaya to the kitchen. Raghuveer’s eyes tracked her every step until she was out of sight.

The moment they were alone in the kitchen, Jaya’s demeanor changed. She roughly grabbed Siya’s hand, twisting it behind her back. Siya gasped in pain, but before she could scream, Jaya hissed, “Chup! Bilkul awaaz nahi… badtameez ladki, ye kya kapde pehne hai tumne, hmm? Meri izzat kharab karna chahti ho mehmano ke saamne? Jab se paida hui ho, tabse zindagi kharab kar rakhi hai sabki…”

“Yeh mikhail lekar bahaar aao jaldi” With that, Jaya released her and stormed off, leaving Siya trembling in the kitchen, a tear slipping down her cheek.

Radha Mausi, the cook, glanced at Siya with pity, Siya quickly wiped her tears and did as she was told. As she entered, Jaya immediately put on her concerned act, “Are, beta, kya kar rahi ho tum? Radha hai na ye sab karne ke liye…” She glanced at Angad and Anjana, flashing them a sweet, insincere smile.

Yashi noticed the marks on Siya’s arm and understood what had happened. Seething, she decided to take action. “Jaya aunty, aapki saree pe cockroach!” she screamed, causing Jaya to panic and jump around in a frenzy.

After a while she saw everyone laughing at her. Yashi said, “Oh chala gaya hoga kahin uchal kar” earning a glare from Jaya.

As the laughter died down, Anjana called Siya over. "Siya beta, yahan aao..." She opened a box containing a pair of royal-looking gold bangles and gently placed them on Siya’s wrists.

"Aunty, ye aap kya kar rahi hain? Ye sab kyun?" Siya asked, looking towards Arun for answers.

Anjana smiled warmly, "Kyun beta, ab jo rishta hai, uske liye ye sab zaroori hai na…”

Siya , “Rishta?”

Anjana and Angad exchanged a worried glance as they sensed Siya's confusion. Arun quickly intervened, saying, "Let's talk somewhere else," and the three adults stepped outside, leaving Siya alone in the room. She stared blankly at the bangles on her wrists, trying to piece together what had just happened, but her thoughts were a tangled mess.

A while later, Arun returned alone, his expression unreadable as he informed Jaya that the guests had left. He whispered something to her, but Siya was too lost in her own turmoil to hear. Yashi, sitting beside her, looked equally bewildered.

Finally, unable to bear the silence, Siya asked, her voice barely above a whisper, “What was this all about?”

Angad hesitated, avoiding her gaze, before reluctantly answering, “They were here… they were here for your marriage…”

Siya’s world tilted. Shocked and overwhelmed, she rushed to Arun, grabbing his arm. “What marriage? What do you mean?” she demanded, her voice rising with panic.

Jaya, seething, interjected, “You shameless girl! Is this how you speak to your uncle?” But Siya, on the brink of tears, ignored her and continued to press Arun for answers. Finally, with a firm grip on her arms, Arun declared, “You are going to marry Raghuveer, Siya.”
