The Master had thrown Hazel into the Tardis, where she would be for the rest of the time there.

"Holly? Oh my god, Holly?"Martha says as she goes to Hazel, who is crying.

"Who are you?" Hazel asks as she sees a man come towards her. She backs away from them.

"Holly, it's me, Jack. The one that was on your television show–"

"I'm not Holly. I'm – I'm – Hazel, but I'm also known as the Frost."

"The Frost?" Martha asks. "Is that like a Time Lord name?"

"Time Lady," Jack says. "She's a Time Lady. How can she be a Time Lady?"

"I don't understand. What's a Time Lord, and what's a Time Lady? Wait, I know who you are –" Hazel says as she sees the Doctor. He hadn't come close to her, though, which made her frown. Something about him made her heart, or hearts, thump.

"Oh no. He's made her think we're mad," Martha tells the Doctor and Jack.

"You're the Doctor. You're the one that Harold always talked about. How can you be here? He should have caught you by now."

"We have to go," the Doctor says, "but how come you don't remember us like you used to?"

"One day I woke up with no memories of how I got there. Harold was there with his girlfriend, now wife, and he said something about a plan, with the Archangel network."

"Of course," the Doctor murmurs. "Of course he would do that. Be there, I mean. And who did you say you were again?"

"The Frost," she says. "I guess I'm a Time Lady? I don't know what that is, but–"

"Frost, you need to get out of here. This is a paradox machine. Why did he keep you here?"

"I don't know, but every time I got close to him, there were voices in my head repeating words and phrases. It hurt, Doctor. It hurt."

"Maybe he's keeping the memories of Holly Morgan from you?" Jack suggested.

"That's a good suggestion," Martha says, "in that fob watch that he had."

"A what?" asks Hazel.

"A fob watch. Time Lords keep their memories in there when they become human. In this case, you had no memories of your Time Lady life as he opened the watch. He kept the memories in there, along with your other human-self. We've gotta get you out of here somehow, but you have to stay. You don't have a Tardis key that we have. Hold on, how do you see us? We have the keys on."

"I don't know. I think I see you, but my brain doesn't want to."

"As soon as this hits red, it activates. At this speed, it'll trigger at two minutes past eight," the Doctor says suddenly.

Jack says, "First contact is at eight, then two minutes later."

"What's it for? What does a paradox machine do?" Martha asks.

"More important, can you stop it?" Jack asks.

"Not till I know what it's doing. Touch the wrong bit, blow up the solar system."

"Then we've got to get to the Master," Martha says.

"Oh no, they're here again," says Hazel. She crouches down with her hands on her head.

"What? Because I said 'the Master'?"

"Yeah, because of that. It just started recently, with hearing the 'Master's' name."
