"It's- hindi ko alam" sagot ko.
Kahit ako ay nalilito at naguguluhan kung ano nga ba ang ginagawa ng baril na iyon sa loob ng maliit na kabinet ng mga magulang ko.
Nilapitan ako ni Alaric, throwing sharp stares at my face. Napalunok naman ako.
Vael blocked me. Hindi ko na tuloy makita si Alaric.
"She don't know anything, Alaric" malamig at matigas na ani ni Vael.
"That gun was owned by a Vampire Hunter late 1800s"
Malakas ang naging kabog ng puso ko sa narinig.
A loud sigh break the tension in the air.
"It may be just a normal gun, Alaric."
Wika naman ni Cole at inakbayan ang kapatid. Naguguluhan na talaga ako sa mga nangyayari.
"The door has a spell on it
Too , kaya hindi rin makapasok rito sa kwartong ito si Louise "
Sunod pa nla ani ni Cole.
Paano nagkaroon ng kung ano man sa pintong iyon?!
"You see, she looks confused too"
Wika ni Vael na nasa harap ko pa din.
Narinig ko naman ang pagbuntong hininga ni Alaric. Gumilid naman si Vael.
"The attack was kinda overwhelming just for a woman who are defenseless"
"They are really targeting her"
Wika ni Alaric at ni Cole na ngayon ay malalim na nagiisip.
Nag iisip pala itong si Cole?
"Of course I am! Hoy insulto yun ha!" Singhal ni Cole na dinuduro pa ako.
Ah, narinig niya pala.
"Sorry, my bad hehe"
"Anong meron ba sa baril na yun?"
Tanong ko. I was just si curious about it. Why does Alaric react like that?
"Just, it's not an ordinary gun to be here. Carmelina"
Wika ni Cole. Alaric was now looking at the direction of the gun, thinking deeply.
"Take care of the mess, I'll tell Valerius about this"
In just a blink, Alaric vanished at our sight. I heard Cole sighed.
"Hindi ako nainform na katulong na rin pala ako" busangot na ani ni Cole.
"Sorry ha, hindi ko naman kasi ineexpect na susugurin ako rito ng mga kalahi niyo" wika ko naman.
"They are different from us. While we may see ourselves as more attractive and sophisticated, they appear more rugged and primal, almost like creatures from a bygone era."
Mahangin na ani nito.
"Sus, kahit anong dahilan mo. Pare-pareho kayong bampira"
"We're not, Synithis has a relentless thirst for blood that consumes them, pushing them to commit unspeakable acts just to satisfy that craving"
Vael who was cleaning the floor by gathering the broken pieces of the table speaks.
"They take lives without blinking an eye, and all you’re left with is the intense, burning pain as they sink their fangs into you."
It just hit me that we're alone in the room. I didn’t even catch when Cole quietly walked out and left us by ourselves.
