February 27, 2021 was when I was informed that I was finally accepted to be an exchange student in the Philippines. Japan, my home land wasn't that good to me so I thought it may be the time for a change.
March 19, 2021 was when I finally finished all the important things to do so I can finally get on a flight to the Philippines and start a new journey. March 29, 2021 was my first day of being an exchange student, I arrived last week, it took some adjusting but I find the Philippines very kind and welcoming. As I walked to my first class, holding my schedule, I saw a guy with dark hair running towards me, it turned out I was standing in front of the door to his class, my class. As the class goes on, I can't help but look towards him and by doing so, I have now little attention to the discussion. I wondered what his name was, I never got the courage to ask him and so I never did, not until the professor called him to check the attendance, his name was Carl.
April 8, 2021 a few weeks into being an exchange student, This was also the day when me and Carl got partnered up for a project and also the day when we had our first interaction. "Hi, nice to meet you" I said awkwardly "Hi, nice to meet you too, Konnichiwa" he said with a broken japanese accent and laughing and I let out a chuckle too. Starting that day we met up every afternoon at the school garden to discuss our project. I always adored how the sunlight hit his Hazel eyes making them vibrant. "Hey Eiji, why are you staring like that?" He said confusedly "Oh, my bad, I was just admiri- it's nothing" I said nervously "well okay" he says sounding confused and curious. As the sun went down and his Hazel eyes got less vibrant but now sparkling, we watched our first sunset together, the best sunset I have and will ever experience
