Mr. Sharma sat in his dimly lit study, the silence pressing in on him like a vise. His hands trembled slightly as he sipped his drink, the bitter liquid doing little to calm his frayed nerves. The events of the past few days had left him in a state of constant agitation. Ananya had been a thorn in his side for too long, and now, it seemed, she was only growing stronger. Every plan he concocted, every move he made, she countered effortlessly. It was infuriating.
His thoughts were interrupted by a soft knock on the door. He frowned, already irritated. "What is it?" he barked.
The door creaked open, revealing Mrs. Sharma standing hesitantly in the doorway. She was holding a small parcel in her hands. "I… I brought you this," she said softly, her voice tinged with a mixture of anxiety and hope.
Mr. Sharma barely glanced at her, his mind too consumed with his frustrations. "Yes, yes, put it there and leave me alone," he snapped, waving a dismissive hand.
Mrs. Sharma hesitated, her face falling at his harsh tone. "Are you okay?" she ventured, her concern genuine despite the coldness in his eyes.
He looked at her, a sneer curling his lips. "What do you think you can do if I'm not? You're useless here, just like always. Now get out of my sight."
Her eyes welled up with tears, but she knew better than to argue. Silently, she placed the parcel on his desk and left the room, closing the door softly behind her.
Mr. Sharma ignored her departure, his focus shifting to the parcel she had brought. It was an unremarkable package, but the fact that it was addressed to him personally piqued his curiosity. With a sigh, he tore open the wrapping, revealing a stack of papers inside.
As his eyes skimmed the first page, the color drained from his face. The bold letters at the top of the document sent a jolt of shock through his system. It was a legal document, one that he had never expected to see—ownership papers for Sharma Industries.
His breath hitched as he read the name on the document: Ananya Sharma.
The room seemed to spin around him as he struggled to comprehend what he was seeing. Sole owner? How could this be? Ananya had never known the ownership paper of the company, and he had always made sure she believed that it was securely in his name. How had she managed to do this?
His mind raced with possibilities, each more unsettling than the last. Had Ananya discovered the truth about Sharma Industries? Had she somehow maneuvered behind his back to wrest control from him? But how could she have done it without him knowing?
"No, this can't be happening," he muttered, his voice hoarse with panic. "She doesn't even know about these papers… unless… unless she does."
He stood up abruptly, knocking his chair over in his haste. His thoughts were a chaotic whirlwind of fear and anger. If Ananya knew about the ownership, did she also know about the other secrets he had so carefully hidden? Did she know about the deals he had made, the people he had betrayed?
He stumbled back to his desk, his hands shaking as he rifled through the papers, searching for some clue, some explanation. But there was nothing. Just the cold, hard fact staring back at him: Ananya Sharma is the sole owner of Sharma Industries.
"This isn't possible… it can't be," he whispered to himself, trying to steady his breathing. But no matter how many times he read the document, the reality refused to change. His power, his control over the company, was gone. Ananya had taken it all.
