When Jungkook woke up around 8 AM, he grabbed his phone and immediately noticed several unread messages. One message stood out from the rest; it was from Eun Woo, his close friend. The tone was different from what he was used to:
“Jungkook, are you there? Respond, dammit. If you don't join Vante's Reign, I'm going to lose my job. So just suck it up and join already, nut head.”

Jungkook frowned, feeling both confused and annoyed. He knew Eun Woo would never speak to him this way unless he was under extreme pressure. Despite his irritation, he cared about his friend and didn't want to be the cause of his stress.

Jungkook quickly replied, "Calm down, hyung. What’s going on? Why is your job on the line because of me?"

Almost instantly, Eun Woo responded, clearly relieved to see Jungkook was awake. "Thank god you replied. Taehyung is really pushing me, saying he needs you on board with Vante's Reign. He's made it clear that if I can't convince you, my job could be at stake. I'm sorry for the harsh message, I was just panicking."

Jungkook sighed, rubbing his temples. "I can't just make a decision like this, hyung. You know me—I need to think things through. I’m not going to jump ship just because Taehyung is trying to bully us into it."

Eun Woo felt a pang of guilt. He knew Jungkook was right. “I understand, JK. I just... I don’t want to lose my job over this, you know? Taehyung’s got this way of making people feel like they don’t have a choice.”

Jungkook's eyes narrowed. He didn't like the way Taehyung was handling things. He had always known Taehyung to be ambitious, but this level of pressure was too much. Jungkook decided he needed to take control of the situation.

"Okay, hyung, here’s what we’ll do. I’ll meet with Taehyung face-to-face. Let’s see what he really wants and why he's so desperate for me to join. You don’t need to worry; I won't let him take it out on you."

Relieved, Eun Woo agreed, “Thanks, JK. Just... be careful, alright? Taehyung isn’t easy to deal with.”

Jungkook nodded, determination setting in. “Don’t worry about me. It’s time Taehyung learns that not everything can be bought or bullied into submission. I’ll handle it.”

As he got ready for the day, Jungkook mentally prepared himself for the confrontation ahead. It was time to put an end to this, once and for all.

Jungkook arrived at Vante's Reign headquarters later that morning. The sleek, modern building was intimidating, a reflection of Taehyung’s personality: polished, cold, and a bit overbearing. Jungkook walked in, his expression calm but his mind alert. He was ready for anything.

The receptionist directed him to Taehyung’s office, and as he approached, he could already hear Taehyung's deep voice through the partially open door, barking orders to someone on the phone. Jungkook knocked twice before pushing the door open.

Taehyung looked up, his eyes narrowing when he saw Jungkook. He quickly ended the call, tossing his phone onto the desk. “So, you finally decided to show up,” Taehyung said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Jungkook didn’t rise to the bait. He simply took a seat across from Taehyung, meeting his intense gaze with a steady one of his own. “You wanted to see me,” Jungkook said calmly. “So here I am. Let’s talk.”

Taehyung leaned back in his chair, eyeing Jungkook with a mix of irritation and curiosity. “You’re a difficult man to get hold of, Jungkook. I’m not used to people ignoring my offers.”

Jungkook shrugged. “I don’t respond well to threats. And from what I hear, that’s all you’ve been doing. Threatening Eun Woo’s job? That’s a low blow, even for you, Taehyung.”
