Taehyung stormed into his office, slamming the door shut behind him. He paced around his desk, running his fingers through his hair in frustration. The confusion in his chest felt like a storm raging inside, pulling him in all directions. Finally, he slumped into his chair, mumbling under his breath.

“How... how can I not control myself around him?” he muttered, staring blankly at his desk, his mind racing back to the way Jungkook’s waist had captivated him. It wasn’t just a fleeting glance. It was something deeper, something he couldn’t shake off. “Am I… in love with him?” Taehyung whispered, the words feeling foreign on his tongue, as if speaking them out loud would make it real.

But immediately, he shook his head, denying it fiercely. “No, no… it’s not love. It can’t be.” He stood up abruptly, as if sitting still would let those thoughts fester. His heart was pounding, and he couldn’t figure out why. “It’s just… lust, right? It has to be. Just lust,” he repeated, as if saying it out loud would make it true.

But even as the words left his mouth, they didn’t sit right. Taehyung gripped the back of his chair tightly, frustration bubbling over. “But no, it’s not just that… it’s not just lust!” He groaned, pushing away from his desk and walking toward the large, glass window that looked out over the city. The view usually calmed him, but not today.

Pressing his palms against the cold glass, he leaned forward, his forehead almost touching the window. His reflection stared back at him, looking just as lost as he felt. “What the fuck is happening to me?” he murmured, his voice low but laced with frustration.

“Do I love him? Or is this just some twisted form of desire?” He clenched his fists, trying to make sense of the whirlwind of emotions crashing through him. “If it’s just lust… then why him? Why Jungkook?”

Taehyung squeezed his eyes shut, his chest tight with frustration. He didn’t understand. Jungkook had been nothing more than a colleague, someone who worked under him, someone he respected professionally. But now, every time he saw him, every time they were in the same room, his heart raced, and his mind wandered into places it shouldn’t.

“Why can’t I get him out of my head?” he groaned, pushing away from the window, pacing the room like a caged animal. His mind was at war with itself, battling between the need to keep things professional and the undeniable pull he felt toward Jungkook.

He stopped mid-step, running his hands through his hair once more. “This isn’t supposed to happen,” he whispered. “Not to me. Not like this.”

Taehyung fell back onto his chair, his heart still pounding as he stared up at the ceiling, trying to find an answer. But no matter how hard he tried to reason with himself, the truth was starting to become painfully clear. This wasn’t just lust. It wasn’t just some fleeting attraction. And the more he tried to deny it, the stronger it became.

The real question now was: What was he going to do about it?

Just as Taehyung was in the midst of his internal battle, the door to his office creaked open. Lost in his thoughts, he didn’t notice at first, but the soft sound of footsteps brought him back to reality. He turned abruptly to find Jimin standing in the doorway, arms crossed and a mischievous grin playing on his lips.

“Hyung,” Jimin said, dragging out the word, his eyes gleaming with curiosity. “Did I just hear you say that you love someone?”

Taehyung’s heart nearly leaped out of his chest. “J-Jimin?” he stuttered, quickly trying to regain his composure. “How long have you been standing there?”
