"I see I'll go pack the things I'll be needing on the battlefield" I murmured as I turned and walked out of their office.

Once I was alone in my room, I turned and stared out the window up at the clear blue sky.

I bit my bottom lip as I slid to the ground leaning against the door as I sat on the floor of my room.

I knew why my mother and father were sending me to war.

It was because they didn't want a baby girl in the first place.

They only wanted a son to take over the Earth Duchy after they stepped down.

When my mother found out she was first pregnant she was overjoyed because she knew it was a boy.

That joy turned to anger the instant I was born.

My brother Clay and I are twins. Clay was born first and then I was born last.

After I was born my nurse maid took care of me until I was old enough to eat food.

Thats when my mother and father came along. They had decided to raise Clay and I together.

I thought that I'd be able to get my mother and father's love but to my horror it was the exact opposite.

When Clay wasn't looking or was gone off somewhere, I'd get yelled at and slapped for any mistake.

Soon after the slapping started, mother and father thought it would be beneficial for me to get whipped if I made any kind of mistake.

The whipping soon turned into getting torchered.

I soon learned that it was better for me not to speak my feelings.

I didn't ever speak unless I was asked a question or told to.

Even after all these years, Clay does not suspect a thing.

I may have been trained to fight alongside Clay, but that doesn't mean I could easily use a sword.

I wasn't allowed to touch anykind of weapon after training.

If I was caught even looking at one I knew everything would be over.

I knew that my parents were sending me to war to die.

But I refused to let them control me anymore because I had mastered the sword.

Which meant I was the first female swordmaster ever.

Among each family a swordmaster is born.

In the Earth Duchy, I was chosen as a swordmaster by the Realms........
