I stood in front of my mother and father my head bowed low as they loomed over my older brother Clay and I.

"Clay, Zia, we have called you two here today because of a certain emergency" My father, Duke Leaf murmured.

"What is this certain emergency you talk about father?" Clay asked worriedly.

"The Beast Empire has declared war on our Empire" My mother, Duchess Fern said softly.

"What! Why?" Clay exploded angrily as he clenched his fists together.

"The Beast Empire wants to take over the world, since we're the biggest Empire in the world, there aiming to destroy us first" Father explained.

"Fools" I muttered with a quiet but frosty voice.

"Yes, they are fools" Clay agreed with a deep scowl on his face.

"The Emperor has asked for everyone's help in this war, so that's why we have decided to send you two to lead our knights into battle to help protect our Empire" Father said.

"Really!" Were going to War!? Thats Great!" Clay exclaimed looking overly excited.

"The battlefield is a dangerous place Clay, so don't get so excited" I muttered from beside him.

"What! Aren't you excited Zia?" Clay asked with a slight frown.

"No, I don't get excited over going to a place you could possibly die" I said shaking my head.

"Oh Zia, you always think of the negative side, why not try to think of the bright side for once!" Clay said as he gave me a huge grin.

A soft sigh escaped my lips as I turned to our mother and father.

"When will we leave?" I asked stiffly. "You leave in two days" Father answered with a nod of his head.

"You two and the Earth Duchy knights will go to the Imperial Palace to meet up with the royal knights and others" Mother added.......
