"Dawn struck, the clock chimed, Seikyo cried.
Night passed, a whisper came, and darkness reigned.
Morning broke, the flame died out—alas, evil prevailed..."

I was lost—disoriented, confused. To say I didn’t remember how I ended up here would be an understatement. Each breath came shallow, irregular. My heart, once steady, now beaslow and faint. My skin, cold to the touch.

I lay motionless in the grass, surrounded by wildflowers that swayed in the breeze. It took a bit for me to realize the time that had passed. The sky was aglow—sunrise, not sunset. So vivid, so full of life.

But I was not.

My face was still damp from tears, though they now felt foreign, cold as ice. Blood seeped through my shirt, trickling out like rivers carving through the earth.

Even the crimson of my own blood felt distant, detached. I didn’t want to feel it.

Anger welled up inside me, sharp and bitter. How had I let this happen? The realization of my life slipping away filled me with a grief so deep, it was unbearable.

I began to sob, each cry a release of my desperation, until the pain, which had been lurking beneath, surged all at once. It was overwhelming.

I wailed. I wept.
Until I could no longer.
I was dead.
