I started writing this book as far back as 2021 (The title then was 'Everything in between') and I posted the chapters here on Wattpad as I wrote. Some months later I took down all the chapters I had posted for a few reasons.
Firstly, I felt like I wasn't doing justice to Saylor's story. In order to meet up with the posting schedules I had set up for myself (I think at the time I decided to post a new chapter every week), I rushed through the book and didn't plan the story adequately enough or outline the major events I wanted to take place. I guess I just felt like everything I had posted at that time was inadequate.
Secondly, I was still in school at the time I had started writing this book. Writing a book while trying to be a 'good' student almost drove me half insane. I couldn't dedicate enough time to plotting my book and I didn't like that. At all.
Thirdly, I was also dealing with a lot of personal issues. I was caught in the madness of trying to figure out my life and what I wanted for my future and also my faith journey and finding myself in God.
I appreciate everyone who started the journey of this book with me all those years ago. My earliest readers gave me the drive and motivation to be consistent and I'm so sorry I took down the book without any forewarning or apology. I took time off to sit down and plan how to make Saylor's story even better and more meaningful and I hope you'll take your time to read it again.
For everyone who is new to this book, I appreciate you for even making it this far. Hopefully you stay long enough to get to the end. So many things have changed in the book and I'm excited for everyone to read it and discover my characters who have spent wayyy too long living and conversing in my head (Hope that doesn't sound creepy lol). I finally feel ready to put pen to paper (more like type on my keyboard) and give them the lives they deserve.
