Amelia sunk into her car seat, completely exhausted from the busy day she had gone through. She was, however, elated to be surprising her boyfriend.
They loved spending time with each other, which made her direct the movie even harder. They had less time to see one another, which devastated Amelia. She clung to Lando like a lifeline and not being able to see him for weeks on end drove her insane.
She was infatuated, to say the least. They spent nights talking about their future together, with unspoken promises of white picket fences and hopes of having little children running around a large white home, laughter a prominent thing in these conversations.
She smiled whenever memories of him flashed through her mind, and her knowing he loved her was enough to let her feel secure.
She had these thoughts running through her head as she drove down the familiar road that led to the enormous gates that stood in front of Lando's house
She scanned her hand through a large pad to park in the garage that held an array of luxury cars, courtesy of Amelia's generous birthday gifts and wealth.
She took off her shoes before making her way down the massive hallway. She took some time to admire the art that hung on the walls before she crept up to the wooden door and yanked it open.
Her initial excitement was replaced with terror when she realized Jules LeBlanc was sitting on top of Lando's lap half naked.
She screamed at the top of her lungs, both of them freezing, realizing they had been caught.
Jules scrambled off of his lap, trying to put her clothes back while Lando ran towards Amelia, who stormed out of the room crying.
He eventually caught up with her and started pleading with her.
❝Amelia, please listen to me. I can explain❞
❝Explain what? That you cheated on me while I was working my ass off every day?❞
❝You can't be saying anything when you probably cheated on me with Trent,❞ he spat harshly
❝I'm done with you, Lando❞ she scoffed after she slapped him across the face
As if on que, Jules came running down the hallway, panting heavily
Amelia stared at her in disbelief. The person she had considered a best friend, a sister, had turned around and stabbed her in the back despite all she had done for her.
The air was thick with tension, the two girls staring at each other. There was no need for words when their eyes said everything that needed to be said.
Amelia turned around and bolted for the door, tears streaming down her face. She tried to wipe them away, but they kept overflowing, which led to her giving up on getting them to go away.
They both tried to catch up to her, running through the large home, trying not to fall. Unfortunately, Amelia ran track in high school, so she was ultimately faster than both of them.
Jules eventually pushed past Lando and got to her before she could get into her car to drive away.
With tears in her eyes, she tried to get her thoughts together before she said anything. But before she any words could leave her lips, she was met with a full meltdown complete with screams.
