Asher
Bang!
Asher slammed shut the door of their headquarters which was a small cabin at an isolated location. The door shook with the force it received. This was the place where they planned their moves or simply went about doing their business when they where not out at Galaxy.
It was secluded, allowing the boys to do whatever they wanted without being monitored by others, specifically their own families. Being kids of the rich and wealthy did not only mean the luxuries and the glamour, it also meant that they would be highly scrutinised by the media and the world. It meant they would always be under the threat of being kidnapped because of some political war or economic competition. This place was their sanctuary.
His anger was radiating off his body in waves. The dangerous speed he had ridden to get there had not calmed his anger as he had hoped.
"How dare he threaten me? Does he think that I am so incompetent that I would not be able to find her?"
"Find who?" asks Eric from his place on the couch.
"A girl by the name of Juliet, also known as J. Logan, get the CCTV footage of the Ford street and you will find the picture of that girl."
"Kay.Eric ,coming at you in one minute."
"No problem, Asher. Just give me an hour." Eric responds while dialling a number. Eric has a way of finding people in a matter of minutes and it's scary how far his connections could go.
"Why are you finding her though?" Jackson asks. He had never seen Asher this angry over his father's threat.
Asher walked towards the boxing ring near the kitchen."I must find this girl and I will not have him prevent me from doing so." he says, taking off his shirt. He began punching the punch bag. Hit after hit, kick after kick, hoping for the anger to disappear as well as another feeling he had not felt in a long time. Fear. The fear of not ever finding her because of his father. The fear of her being hurt because he was not there to protect her.
What is it that draws you near her, Asher? His subconscious mind questions. He had never cared for a stranger and that scared him.
" Why is this girl so important?" Jackson asks , coming round the kitchen island.
"Just. Find. Her." Asher answers while punctuating each word with a punch. He did not know the answer to that question as well. He knew Jackson didn't deserve to face his wrath. Shaking his head, Jackson walks towards Eric.
"Better hurry Eric or your face is gonna be next."
"Very funny Jackson. And why thank you for your concern. But you will be happy to know that I did find information on her though I don't think Asher will like it."
"Like what?" Asher asks. Speak of the devil and he shall be there is exactly what would sum up that situation and it was not a position Eric wanted to be in.
" Apparently, that is girl is new in town and ..."
"And..."
"He couldn't find anything about her," Logan cut in, "And neither could I."
"What the hell do you mean?"
"I can find nothing on this girl. No id, no house address. Nothing. It's like she never existed," Eric replied.
"Either whoever she is running from has made sure to cease her existence or she, herself, has been able to cover her tracks so well," Logan added.
"But that is not the response I want from both of you." Asher said and the anger his eyes held caused the room's temperature to drop by a few degrees.
"Don't blow your fuse so fast, Asher. Although they found out nothing about her. I'm sure both of them had found something to tell you, judging by their faces." Jackson said from the side. Unlike Asher, who let his emotions take control, Jackson was the calm one and always kept his cool. Perhaps this was why they were able to bond in the first place.
"Man, Jackson. I was just having a little fun." Eric said. Sometimes, Asher quite couldn't get why Eric would pick the worst situation to mess with him.
"Better spit it out before I have fun with your face, Eric." Asher growled.
"Fine. Logan was able to track the girl towards a secluded part of this forest this morning. Don't ask me how, but I swear , Logan has CCTV's all over the world. But your dad was right. If we didn't have lady luck on our side then it might have been impossible to find her."
"Hey watch what you say, Eric. I just happened to be flying my drone in that area and her footage was recorded. She is actually pretty close to where we are so I am sure that she is safe for now." Logan threw a mouse at Eric.
"Ouch.What was that for geek?"
"For your compliment."
"Now,now. Let's not be kids, shall -"
"Both of you cut it out. Logan send me the coordinates. I am leaving to see her." Asher said, pulling both of them out from their childish bickering.
