Asher
Thud! Another body hits the ground. Sensing someone behind him, Asher quickly turns around and sends a kick towards another body. Jab, punch, kick. His body does these motions in automatic.
With a punch, the last body surrounding him becomes bloodied and falls on the ground. He looks at his black gloves and sees that they have blood on them. "Man, this game dirtied my gloves." Asher says to Jackson.
" Let's finish this up, I am already bored," Jackson replies. With that they both jump into action to fight off the remaining guys and those who get up again to fight them. "Don't they ever give up?" Eric said. Asher knew Eric was bored of this game since Asher saw that he was taking out his opponents with a punch each. "Apparently, the Eagles have a new leader and he wants to take over our positions." Logan said, while doing a backflip.
"Really now," Jackson said with a smirk. Whoosh! A metal rod went flying past Asher's head, almost hitting him. " That was close," was the response Asher gave before, running towards the person who had thrown it and hitting him on the face. Looking around the car park, Asher saw that the ground was filled with bloodied bodies and except for them ,not a single soul was standing.
"Let's go beefore the police comes." Asher said to them and they all picked up their jackets and got on their bikes. Starting their engines , they headed towards Galaxy, the bar they usually hanged out at. The sounds of reality was drowned out and all Asher could hear was the roaring of the engine. It felt nice and gave him a sense of freedom that he longed for.
As they entered the bar, every eyes turned towards them
Heading up to our private room, they ordered their drinks. Galaxy was one of the most expensive club in all of this town and was owned by Jackson's parents. This became their hangout place since noone else could enter this place, except them. Eric headed down to the bar while Logan began typing away in his computer.
" Shall we hunt the Eagle's leader ourselves or wait for him to come to us?" Jackson said. Asher could see that he was excited about the prospect of having a play toy. "Here is the details of our newest rabbit. Albert Harford. Apparently unlike the previous leader, he is from an influential family and guess who that is?" Logan asked, though there was no excitement in his voice.
"He is the son of Mr Icarus Harford, the self-made billionaire who was almost going to be elected mayor but then fell from the gracious of the people of this town due to his scandals. He currently owns 5% of the town's share." Eric said, walking in with a glass of wine. The waiter soon followed carrying their drinks.
" Why shall we chase when the prey is willing to come to us?" Asher said with a smirk. "He won't make a move for a while , seeing how most of his gang members are now at the hospital." He took a sip of his drink and relished the taste of alcohol in his tongue.
"According to the police, they have covered up the scene for us and also the Eagles wouldn't dare to blab their mouths." Logan equipped before staring at his laptop screen again. "Well since this matter has been discussed. Let's hit the dance floor." Jackson shouts, though Asher knew he wanted to hunt rather than to wait. Jackson quickly finished his drink and got out of his chair.
" I will stay here." Logan grumbled. As much as Logan was one of them, he was still a computer genius and preferred to participate in useful activities. "Kay," Eric waved as they headed out the door. While Asher and Jackson went to the private bar, Eric went off with a girl, who was probably the daughter of a famous business tycoon. Always building connections. Asher thought.
"So did your old man ask you to join the company again?" Jackson said, getting a bottle of whisky and vodka. "Does he ever stop?" Asher replied. He hated that his father tried to control ever aspect of his life. "Give that old man a break, Asher," Jackson said , handing Asher a glass of vodka. Jackson knew that Asher held a lot of resentment towards his father, but he knew that they needed to work it out. Resentments never did anyone good, well maybe it helped some.
" Rather than me, it should be him giving me a break," Asher said, drinking his drink. The taste of the vodka burned in his throat but he didn't mind it. Asher felt caged in his own house and in his own life, but he was a boy who would rather die than let himself suffocate in the plans of someone like his father. That very word brought out the worst in him.
" I am not saying let him control your life, just try and not get into trouble," Jackson said with a sigh, "You know that this is your last chance, right?" "And you do realise that I am not going to listen to him in any way, right?" Asher said with a smirk. Pouring himself another drink, Asher thought about all the scheming his father had done till now. " Just make sure you won't be cornered into going ot the military school." Jackson said.
"I have my ways of doing what I want," Asher said. "Dude, are you guys coming out? I have to introduce you to some ladies?" Eric said. We walked out only to be swarmed by girls in dresses , which looked like they stole it from a child. "It's them, the K.I.NG.S"
After hours and hours of drinking, hooking up with girls and dancing, Asher left the bar alone. He was quite drunk, but no that much that he couldn't ride his bike.
As his engine roared to life, he heard a voice screaming for help. He got on his bike , but the voice oncw again screamed for help. Deciding that his head was hurting too much because of the noise, he walked towards the alley from where the shout came from.
Upon looking at narrow alley, he saw a girl trying to fight off a guy twice her size. Her hair was falling from the bun she had made and her nails were clawing widly. Soon the guy had pressed her up the wall. "No, let me go. Let me go." the girl shouted, her face a mix of despair and fear.
"The lady said let her go," slipped out of Asher's mouth before he could stop it. Both faces turned to look at him. The man had a scar running down his face. Seeing that the man's grip had lessened on the girl, the girl quickly removed his grip and ran behind Asher's back.
"Kid, it's none of your business. Get the hell out of here." the man's voice sounded calm, though Asher could feel the chill in his voice. "Well, this kid is not going to leave so I suggest you to scram before I beat you to a pulp." Asher said. "J, come here to me." He could feel the girl's trembling hand holding onto his shirt.
"She is not coming anywhere near you " Asher told him. "You.." began the man but Asher cut him off. "Asher DiCaprio, the name's Asher DiCaprio." He said. Although Asher hated using his father's name in this situation, he was in no mood to deal with a molester. "Run before I have the whole police force circling you." was all Asher said.
He could feel the man's gaze harden, but he could see the hesitation in his eyes to leave. But after a moment or so the man left, but not before uttering the infamous line, "This isn't over, J and Asher." That brought a smile on Asher's mouth.
"Thank you but you should not have done that." a voice spoke so softly that he could barely hear it. He turned around to see a girl who could resemble an angel. Her black hair was long and her eyes were big and blue, like a doe. She looked frail, almost as if he could easily snap her neck. Her body was of small stature which made him feel protective of her.
"He will come back for you now,"She said. Asher realised that he was looking at her for too long. "Like that matters," He said with a smirk. It seemed that the girl didn't know about who he was.
"You don't know who he is, he could kill you without blinking an eye."
" That's why he ran away?"
" You don't understand who he is," the girl said.
" But he knows who I am and that's enough to make him fear me." Asher said to her.
"Never mind. I am sorry for the trouble I might have caused you and the problems which may arise for you in the future." She said before turning to leave. " Wait, why was he after you?" The girl stilled at that question. " None of your concern," the girl answered in a harsher tone. Asher understood it was a touchy subject for her. He had his own demons that he didn't want to talk about.
As she began to walk away, Asher saw that she was still scared and she was worried about something.
"Wait. What's your name?" Asher asked. "Juliet" came the reply before she vanished. On the ride back home, Asher thought about Juliet. The girl had a lot going on that's for sure, but there was something about her that kept her on Asher's mind.
