Yunjin smoked so often because of the fact that she can't handle stress very well. Smoking helps her stay calm. But still, she was losing her mind, keeping this secret. She knew who was responsible for the murders, she had been kidnapped, and she witnessed a murder then helped cover it up.
She could give so many families closure if she just tells the police. But she thought about Chaewon's words and refrained from doing it. It seemed as if Chaewon was telling the truth. This morning, on their way to school, Yunjin was pulled over for speeding. However when the officer saw Chaewon in the passenger seat, he immediately let them both go without any punishment.
Yunjin pondered intensely about it all, memories of that night invading her head on repeat. The sight of seeing someone get murdered, the sight of her crush dying on the floor. Blood being wiped on her face as Chaewon attempted to wipe her tears away. She and Chaewon almost kissing.
She played with her hands intensely, looking around the cafeteria with paranoia until she met Chaewon's eyes staring back at her from across the table they were sitting at with Yeji and Eunchae. The look Chaewon gave her told Yunjin something was wrong, and she was the root of it. Yunjin couldn't recall doing anything to make Chaewon mad.
It's not like her to get so scared, but being stared at by a murderer is enough to make her cower. She grew nervous, unable to speak or look away.
"Yunjin, outside." Chaewon grumbled, getting up from the table and dragging Yunjin outside towards the back of the school, away from cameras.
She didn't hesitate to wrap a hand around Yunjin's neck and aggressively pinned her into the brick wall. It caught Yunjin by surprise, she wrapped both her hands around Chaewon's wrist to try and pry it off but nothing was working in her favor. She knew how to get out of this position, she's been in many fights, but as of right now, her mind was blank.
"You slipping? You gonna start blabbering?" Chaewon questioned, squeezing harder to squeeze an answer out of her victim.
Yunjin shook her head no, trying to be as believable as possible.
"I won't." She choked out.
"Good." Chaewon smirked, leaning in, "Because if you do, and then everything in your life starts going horribly fucking wrong, you'll know why."
Yunjin resorted to trying to push her away by her chest, but that's when Chaewon released her own hands, Yunjin falling to the ground gasping for air. Chaewon helped her up and stared into her soul, "Don't fuck things up."
"I won't Chaewon. But can't you understand how fucking crazy this is? I didn't ask to be a part of this, it's fucking scary!"
"It's less work for you to just shut up and be a good girl, than to start blabbering away." Chaewon argued, not letting Yunjin finish because she dragged her back inside to the lunchroom.
Chaewon seemed to have some kind of need to have Yunjin around all the time. Maybe she was just watching her to make sure she wouldn't fuck things up, or maybe she just wanted to take every chance she got to see Yunjin.
At the end of the school day, Yunjin caught up with Beomgyu and Yujin, unfortunately, she was starting to see less and less of them with every day that goes by. Once they all separated ways, Yunjin walked to her locker, passing by an empty classroom on the way there. She looked through the little glass window on the door and suddenly saw Yeji and Eunchae.
She wanted to go in to walk out with them together, but she saw Chaewon and barely heard their conversation through the door.
"We should just kill her, Chaewon." Yeji pitched.
