Chapter 11

"Hello, stranger. When's the last time I saw you, huh? Last century?" Yujin commented once she saw Yunjin enter the school and approach them. Of course, Chaewon was with her.

"Are we playing reverse roles or?" Yujin added, seeing both of their outfits.

Yunjin was wearing a white long sleeve slim fitting turtleneck, with a fuzzy sky blue jacket over, then a plaid form fitting skirt of the same colors. In the past, she was never one for wearing much girly things, she was neither girly or masculine, she just liked simple outfits that had no gender. But things seemed to be changing.

Chaewon's theme seemed to be black as per usual, as if she's allergic to color like Wednesday Adams. She wore a black oversized sweater with a t-shirt under, black and white track pants and matching sneakers.

The school knew Anna, and this was odd. Her sudden change in style, height, personality, but it was only ruled off as her reaction to the breakup, as if the break up is what made her change so much.

The two looked at each other after Yujin's comment, Chaewon looked Yunjin up and down extra before chuckling.

"How cute, but no." Chaewon answered, putting her arm around the back of Yunjin's neck.

"Are you two together?" Beomgyu asked, their chemistry was uncanny. Sudden, but uncanny.

Chaewon looked at Yunjin to let her answer for the both of them. Yunjin didn't like the pressure but she mustered up the courage.

"No, just friends."

The answer was hard to believe by Yujin and Beomgyu, though. It was clear they had feelings for one another, why wouldn't they act upon it? Chaewon looked down, a bit hurt.

"I'll see you later, okay? At lunch." She said, leaving Yunjin to talk to Eunchae and Yeji instead.

"Are you two fucking stupid?" Yujin asked as soon as Chaewon was out of hearing range, she offered Yunjin her vape and she took it.

"What?"

"Don't play dumb, Yunjin. You both like each other, it's so painstakingly obvious. Did you guys hook up? You just don't want to make things official."

"No, Jin. We didn't hook up or anything. I don't fall for girls like her."

Yunjin wanted to change her words to 'I don't do love' but she knew that would make her sound unsure of herself. But she's sure, she's certain.

"Girls like her? You're dressed like the people she hangs out with, she's dressed like the people you hang out with... that matches, bro." Beomgyu pitched in.

Yunjin shook her head, denying it all and telling them to drop the subject while they're at it.

"Fine, there's a party tonight, you coming?" Yujin informed her.

"A party on a Monday night?" Yunjin questioned, but then she remembered that the next day was a day where her side of the school collectively decided to skip school. "Oh, our ditch day. I'll be there. Can I bring C- Anna, do you think?"

"Ehh, she's still from the goody side of the school, Yun. You know people are gonna make it hell for her and the whole, 'if you haven't been in at least one school fight, you can't enter' thing. She doesn't qualify. She doesn't even smoke or drink."

Sighing, Yunjin admitted that it was the truth and agreed to only go with Yujin and Beomgyu. She knew that Anna never drunk or smoked, but she wondered if Chaewon was the same way. She peered in Chaewon's direction, and she felt deja vu when she saw that Chaewon had already been staring at her the same way she would stare Anna from across the hall.
