A/N: hey guys it's me. i wasn't expecting to be working as much as i have been, leaving me absolutely no time to write. but ive been staying up late into the night recently, writing, so here's a new chapter for y'all! honestly, this is one of my passion projects, this story. i'm taking a long break from my original stories and have just been writing fanfic, this fanfic specifically, for a while now. it's fun though because i love harry potter and can just escape into my own little world of it through this story :))

Dinner was absolutely amazing. We had dessert, and then after a while we all parted ways. Ginny and Hermione said something about sharing a room, but I don't know what the other sleeping arrangements are.

"I've been thinking," I say, leaning back against the pillows on my bed. "I'd actually love to have your help with unpacking tomorrow."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I really- thank you for offering to help." He grins.

"Of course." We're quiet for a moment before me yawning interrupts the silence. "Tired?"

"You'd think I wouldn't be from that nap earlier, but apparently it didn't help as much in the long run as I thought."

"I suppose I should let you get some sleep then... I'll see you in the morning, okay?"

"Okay. Is there a certain time for breakfast?"

"Nah. Whenever works."

"Okay. Um... what time do you think you'll be up by?"

"Probably ten-ish. Really depends. Are you a morning person?"

"Not particularly," I admit. "But if I really want to wake up early, I can. I prefer the nights," I say, looking around. I slide off the bed and open the curtains to look outside. My window looks over the alley. "I like when everything is dark and quiet. So quiet that even the smallest movements or voices seem explosively loud. The dark just feels safe too, you know?" I look back towards him, where he's sitting on the edge of my bed looking at me.

"I know what you mean." I stare out the window for a little longer before closing the shades and climbing back onto the bed. "Well, I suppose this is goodnight?" I nod.

"Yes. Goodnight George, see you in the morning." He smiles and walks over to the door.

"Goodnight Rose," he responds before closing it shut behind him. I smile to myself and climb into bed, snuggling with my plushies, and drift off to sleep.

I wake up automatically and glance at the clock beside me. It's eight-thirty. I go over to one of my suitcases and pull out some jeans and a white top with little blue flowers on it. I also take my jacket off the chair from yesterday and slip it on over top. I then slip on some socks and my shoes from last night and head downstairs. I find the pub mostly empty except for Molly who's reading a newspaper at a nearby table.

"Hi," I say to her, heading over.

"Oh why hello Rose. You're up early."

"Yeah, sometimes I wake up and are unable to fall back to sleep. I figured I'd come down to see who's awake."

"I'm afraid it's just me. But why don't you come have a seat." I smile and sit down across from her at the booth. "How'd you sleep?" She asks, setting down the newspaper.

"Pretty good, but I'm still tired. Not from lack of sleep but just everything... this place... it's a whole new world."

"Do you like it?"

"It's new. But so far, yes. It's very... magical."

"It is. And Hogwarts is even more so. You're friends with the twins, right?" I nod. "Good, they're sweet but trouble makers... you'll see just how much when you get to Hogwarts. It's good you're starting there with friends. I'm sure you'll have a lovely time."
