Isabelle sat beside Jane in class, struggling to stay awake as her eyelids kept dropping. She was tired. Finally, the bell rang, and she mentally thanked God, but her happiness was short-lived when she remembered she had promised to go to the library with Jane. She slowly got up and turned to Jane, who was busy looking at her phone.

"Shall we leave?" Isabelle asked, grabbing her books "Sorry, Bella. My mom called me home, instantly" Jane apologized "That's fine, we can go another time" Isabelle said and smiled, Jane hugged her "My understanding bestie" making her giggle. Both headed towards their lockers. Jane left shortly, while Isabelle started putting her books in her locker. 

Suddenly, someone wrapped his arms around her waist, making her flinch. "Easy love, it's me" Alexander's familiar voice whispered in her ear, followed by a gentle peck on the temple. Isabelle looked around, relieved to find they were alone in the corridor.

Alexander frowned when he saw her face "What's wrong, love?" He asked, concerned. Isabelle shook her head "Nothing, just tired" she replied "I told you to stay at home" Alexander's voice filled with worry.

He hugged her, patting her head soothingly "I was rough on you last night, I'm sorry" Isabelle's cheeks flushed as she nodded. Just as they were about to leave, a voice stopped them. They turned to see the trio standing there.

"Forgetting something, Mr.?" Ryder smirked, Isabelle looked at Alexander, who gritted his teeth in frustration. For a moment, she felt a flicker of fear, but she gathered her courage and asked "W-what happened?"

Noah smiled mischievously and pulled Alexander away from her "He's suspended... for a whole week" Ryder chimed in, making Isabelle's eyes widen in shock.

"What? Why? What did you do?" she asked, shocked "So, you think he did something?"Lucas asked making her eyes widen "No, that's not what I meant" she protested, trying to clarify.

"You know.... you are absolutely correct, you know him well" Lucas smirked "Your comment wasn't necessary, fucker" Alexander growled at him "Let's go, love" he said grabbing her hand but Ryder stopped him. They were clearly enjoying his frustration.

"Why did you get suspended?" Isabelle asked, Alexander sighed "I didn't. They are lying. I just got detention for being late" He explained, glaring at his friends, who were laughing.

"Sorry, it's--" Isabelle tried to apologize, but Alexander cut her off "Enough, nothing happened because of you. Don't worry about it. Let's go home" He assured her "What if the professor gets angrier and calls your parents? You go, I will take the bus" She said but he shook his head immediately "No way, I Will drop you, come" Alexander insisted but Isabelle didn't budge, he sighed "Love, please, listen...."

"Xander, my driver will drop her off. Don't worry, he's trustworthy" Noah intervened, Alexander sighed, looking at Isabelle, who nodded "Fine, but inform me when you get home, and don't do any work. Rest" He ordered, making Isabelle smile at his concern.

Alexander gave the driver her address and turned to Isabelle "Inform me when you reach home" he said making her nod. As they parted ways, Isabelle felt a mix of emotions, happiness at Alexander's worry, but also uncertainty about trusting him fully.

"Such a nice husband you are, maybe that's why the professor dared to talk like that" Ryder spoke "What do you mean?" Alexander asked "He means you've become soft, and that's why they've forgotten who we are" Noah added, Alexander's calm demeanor vanished, replaced by a dark look "Is it? Let's go, clear their misunderstanding"
