Two shots rang out from the gun in Genya's hand.
You watched as the heads of the Demons seemingly separated from their bodies as their necks were obliterated by the shots.
No longer under the effects of the Demon's lightning, you sprang up alongside Genya, noticing that one of the Demon's heads was still hanging on by a thread. You covered up behind Genya as he swung his Wakizashi at what remained of the Demon's neck.
Quickly noticing what was happening in front of you, you grabbed onto the back of Genya's clothes as Tanjiro shouted out. "No! Genya! No matter how strong the weapon, this Demon can't be defeated!"
As you pulled Genya back from the middle of the Demons, Tanjiro continued to yell. "Everytime you cut it, it just divides! It's rejuvenating! Getting Stronger! It wants you to cut its head off!"
It wasn't slow, but watching as a new body grew out from the severed head had you pulling Genya even further back from the Demons. "We need to find its weakness!" Genya grunted at your words, eyes wide as he looked on at the (now 4) Demons.
A muffled shout had you turning your head to see that one of the Demons had grown wings and grabbed a hold of Tanjiro by his leg. You watched as he got higher and higher into the sky. "Ha ha ha! How wonderful! It's been so long since I divided!"
"Don't worry about me, Nezuko! Help Genya and (Y/N)!"
You just had to place your trust in Tanjiro and that he would be able to get rid of that Demon. Turning back to the fight at hand, you baulked at the sight of Genya being stabbed by the fourth Demon.
There was more shouting from Tanjiro, but you couldn't focus on him, you had to help Genya. By the broken wall, Nezuko was in a dead lock with Karaku, the demon with the fan. You couldn't care for the words that the Demons were exchanging. There was a deep seated anger that bubbled up in the pit of your stomach.
The sound of another gunshot went off, and knowing that Genya was still alive was all that you needed to motivate you to go after Sekido. "Light Breathing, First Form; Piezo's Strike!"
Striking your new blades together with such force had them glowing instantly. The heat came off them in waves as you dashed towards Sekido. The Demon slammed its staff down, causing the lightning to shoot out and hit both you and Genya.
Genya aimed a shot mid-air, hitting one of Sekido's arms, making the Demon halt in its lightning attacks. This gave you a chance to slice your blades through the arm that was holding its staff. The sound of flesh sizzling had Sekido slam its staff into your side, knocking you back and into the crossfire of Genya's fight with the 4th Demon.
The spear was pulled out of Genya as the 4th Demon moved to strike you down alongside him.
It swiped at you, cutting deep into your left side as you continued to tumble into the wall beside Genya. Pain blossomed as the blood was quick to spread. The Demons stiffened, their eyes narrowing at you as you laid there.
Mumbled words from Genya were the only thing keeping you awake as you strained to hear what he was saying.
"What? The amida sutra? How pious of you."
Sekido turns to talk to the 4th Demon. "He's still alive? Split his head, Aizetsu!"
Aizetsu, the now named 4th Demon, was quick to take up arms once more. Swinging his spear down directly onto Genya's head.
A breath was taken.
Both you and Genya were no longer in your spots.
Genya was behind Aizetsu, an angry grin on his face. "I'll cut off your head as many times as it takes to kill you! You worm!"
