   When I woke up, I couldn't help smiling. I stared at the top bunk. My phone buzzed, and I turned my head, to see my rotom phone, next to my pillow. The screen showed my calendar Poke-app. The notification said "Goh's Birthday Tomorrow❤💅🤴🏻🎉🎊🎁" 

   I grinned. I didn't even need a reminder by my phone or Goh to know it was his birthday tomorrow. I swiped my phone, and saw my wallpaper, A picture of us, our cheeks squished together, and us grinning. I had to get him a gift, but I couldn't get him one earlier because Goh kept going everywhere with me. I loved it, but I had to get him a present. 

   I recently have been discovering my sexuality, and found out I am bisexual, which wasn't a shock, as I had a celebrity crush on Leon, two years ago. But it doesn't matter if I'm bi, because I had my heart saved for one person, and because he is a he, I am gay for one person, and one person only. I am reserved for him, even if he is straight or doesn't feel the same way, I am for Goh. 

   I quietly slipped out of my bed, and went to the bathroom. Ash I brushed my teeth I thought, what if I told him today? Wait- no! I couldn't risk our friendship the day before his birthday! Imagine if he rejects me?! That would be a shock and make him feel awkward about me. Why am I such a gay mess?

   As I walked the streets, looking at all the shops, I felt distraught. I wish I could stop being so selfish, and thinking about Goh dating me, and think about getting him a present. After a full day, I couldn't find anything! Nothing seemed perfect enough for him. And I had 17 missed calls from Goh, and 3 missed calls from Chloe. I needed to go home. As I took the trail to the woods beside Decide park, I heard a rustle.

   I peered up into a tree, and didn't see anything. So I kept walking. But I heard the rustle again. Maybe it was a pokemon? I ran back over and shook the tree. Out came falling a furry, fluffy pokemon, and a berry. 

   It was a skwovett, and not a berry but an applin! And the applin was trying to escape from the squirrel pokemon's teeth. I quickly leaned over and grasped the poor applin and pulled. The very angry skwovett and tugged harder.

   I grunted and I pulled, the applin groans in pain. "Let.... Go-!" I grunted. The also very ran off into the trees. I fell onto my bum and stared at the poor pokemon.

   "Oh no!" I said, trying to press on its bite marks. I got up and ran.

    At the Pokemon center, Nurse Joy quickly healed the applin, and handed it to me. "are you okay, Bud?" I asked. It hummed joyfully. 

   "I am going to catch you" I said, holding a poke ball to its forehead, "is that okay?"

   It chirped joyfully as I caught it. "Applin has been registered to your pokedex!" My rotom phone buzzed. I held out my phone, and saw 76 missed calls from Goh and 1 missed call from Chloe. I quickly dialed Goh up.

   "SATOSHI" Goh screamed in my ear, "ARE YOU OKAY?! WHERE ARE YOU?!"

   I gulped at the sound of him screaming,"I am so sorry, Goh, I just... Needed some time to myself?"

   He sighed, "Ash, you don't understand how much it worries me when you are gone all day! And you didn't even answer my calls!"

   I blushed, "Goh, I'm coming home, don't worry!"

   He sighed again, "okay... Ill be waiting"

   "Buh bye" I said in a cute voice to annoy him.

   He hung up.

   As I was walking up the stairs to the Ceries Laboratory, I heard the door open. "Ash?!" Goh ran down the steps and swallowed me into a huge hug. I blushed in his arms. "I was worried" he mumbled.

   I smiled and shoved him away, "I'm fine!" I said, and we walked home together, and I forgot all about my new friend.

The next day, while everyone was giving Goh gifts for his birthday,I felt ashamed. Even Mr. Mime got Goh a gift, and I, his bestfriend, couldn't even do that. But when it was my turn, it hit me. Applin. Dang it. I hope he doesn't know what giving an applin to someone means.... I couldn't do it in front of everyone else, because they obviously know. So I asked him to follow me outisde.

   On a boulder in the Cerise Park, I gathered courage, "Goh, I wanted to wish you happy birthday... So....here.." I dug in my pocket,and pulled out Applin's pokeball.

   "you got me a pokemon?!" Gou's face lit up, "thanks, Ash!" 

   I grinned, but my heart was beating so hard, I pressed the button gently, and Applin flew into Goh's hands. Goh stared down at the pokemon, and my heart skipped a beat. I started to feel sick. My cheeks were very red. "You're joking, right?" He mumbled, staring at it in what looked like, horror.

   I stared at the floor, "No.."

   I smile grew across Gou's fave, and he wrapped his arms around my neck. He started jumping excitedly, "I wanna stay together forever with you too Ash!!!!"

   I started jumping with him excitedly. I wrapped my arms around him and held him close. I backed up, "I'm glad you understood!" 

   He placed his hands in mine, "I never knew you felt that way.." He smiled.

   I laughed, "Well I knew! Ugh I thought you were gonna reject me! My heart is beating so fast now!" I laughed.

   He grinned, and leaned over and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I gave him a smug look, "Awh" 

   He blushed as he tightened his grip on my hands. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and gave him a peck on the lips. Both of our cheeks were bright red now, and we ran inside, hands intertwined together. 

   "Happy fourteenth birthday, Goh. I really like you..."

    "I really like you"

    "I really like you better!"

    "That doesn't make since.."
