The library was taken over by the family as they all collectively were studying or reading together. Scarlet was against the window as Tim tried once more to teach her how this particular physics equation worked. Scarlet however kept on blanking any time he spoke. Nothing did seem to work for it to stick within this girl's head. However, they were soon distracted by Alfred walking into the library. Surprised how he was supposed to be in the kitchen to have his afternoon break. With a cough he started "Ms Scarlet, a boy has appeared to be at the door for you" 

Scarlet raised an eyebrow and the boys in the family turned to her straight away. She looked around with her hands up "I didn't invite anyone"

"Who is it Alfred?" Bruce asked sipping his coffee. He also was ready to go to the door himself incase this boy was a bother to Scarlet at all. Considering Alfred would just say the name if it was a friend the family knew. Alfred said "A boy named Jake"

"Jake?" Tim looked as confused with his sister "Why is he here?" Scarlet shrugged "I guess we haven't seen him in a while?"

"Well he only said he wanted to see Scarlet"  Damian pointed out. Causing Dick and Jason to make Oooo noises as the girl stood up to follow Alfred. Scarlet rolled her eyes hoping it wasn't like the time at the party. How apparently he couldn't keep his eyes away from her according to her friends.

Thankfully, Alfred left Scarlet alone to endure the conversation with Jake. As she opened the door she was met with a surprised mature looking Jake. Just like when she was at the park. Perhaps the uniform creating a younger look for him. She smiled politely "Oh Hey, what you doing here?"

"Hey" he said back with his hands in his pockets "Just thought to check in on you. Not seen you much" Scarlet nodded a little at this. She then laughed looking at the gate "You had to do the awkwardly buzzer call in didn't you?"

"Hey, if I had a house like Mr Wayne does I would do the same" Jake joked as he was guided into the manor. Scarlet took him upstairs, wanting Jake to avoid the brothers as much as possible, until they reached her room. Scarlet quickly tossed her washing from the bed into her wardrobe and opened the curtain further. They chatted about the band posters on her wall and the gorgeous view of the garden from her balcony. Until they were sat on the floor leaning against the bed. It grew quiet and Scarlet knew she needed to be straight with Jake.

"Em... Alfred was saying how you just asked for me" She pretended there was something interesting on the ceiling. Jake spoke softly "Yeah, just because you've been through a lot. I ... I didn't even see you after your fall" Scarlet bit her lip thinking of that night. Jake then continued to ask "Was it scary?"

"Of course it was" Scarlet was a little bitter as she stood up to head to the balcony. Ironic considering she didn't have a great track record with heights. She leaned against it as Jake joined her and they looked over the garden. The boy eventually spoke "Sorry didn't mean to upset you"

"It's fine" Scarlet looked at her fingers picking a leaf. She sighed "It's just...it's all I've been asked about recently" The boy nodded a little before the breeze began to hit them. Jake turned to slowly asked "Do you still not know who did it?"

"I was so drunk I doubt" Scarlet turned to smirk "I can't even remember Tray being annoying" Then it suddenly hit Scarlet....... Her face froze as it she calculated something. Looking back at the garden with new thoughts Jake asked if something was the matter. Scarlet bit her lip and began to walk back to her room. Pointing as she spoke aloud "I don't remember much at all that night. Hey, even the fall was a blur. But thinking about it........ I remember saying Trays name on the balcony.... Why on earth would I say his name?"
