Chapter 21: Familar Laugh

The past three months since their first  meeting on this matter and still no further leads, or they did cases  that weren't related to it. All they knew was that the rest of Gotham's  villians weren't helping the main culprit. That and Tim finding those spray paints they needed to analyse. But no further evidence these were the exact cans used on the site. It was Damian who spoke up as he glared at the bat computer "I know we talked about it  before but it's pretty clear now we aren't looking in the right places. I  say we do the day watches again that Dick and Jason did"

"And  waste energy when all the planning is happening at night? I think not"  Jason said crossing his arms. Bruce, grugenly, was right about Jason needing to stay until this situation was dealt with. A lot of the cases  with drug gangs Jason had been scoping out when he was Red Hood had  either been more sneaky or changed plans completely because of the Joker  situation. Furthermore, ever since they went to his siblings school....  seeing Scarlet fall ... made him need to finish it. So he's made  comfort in his old room and ate the meals Alfred provided. But that  didn't mean he needed to enjoy the company he had. Jason rolled his eyes  as Bruce spoke about how Damian was in fact right. Blood Son Jason thought.  "We aren't looking the right way"   Bruce finished off.

"Well  we've done that we can" Dick sighed "I have a horrible feeling we just  need to see when the Joker finally shows" They all continued discussing  what they could do more to stop all this. Not even for the missions.  Poor Scarlet had been having horrible nightmares and trouble sleeping  since the school incident. She could hide the yawns and subtle tiredness  at first due to normal activites. However, she can't hide everything  from the greatest detective.

"Gotham Academy" Dick muttered again frowning as he thought of the incident. Some memories of his younger  years came into play as he spoke about it. "Why spill all their security  information?  With every other location they came into they didn't take  anything away. I know he's stopped using the colour smoke but he knows  that it's because we are investigating now. But taking a high school  secuirty information?..... " Dick then went next to Bruce and asked him  to type in to see if any of the parents were getting involved with  anything this year. Bruce began searching and nothing too massive came  up. Apart from the Henderson family name.

"Isn't that Tray's dad?" Damian looked up. (I can't remember if i gave Tray a second name sorry)

"He's  the riches guy in Gotham" Jason highlighted and mentally jabbing at  Burce while speaking "Heard he's also planning on expanding his company.  Hey, weren't we supposed to go to the Gala tonight to hear him talk  about it?"

"Yeah  but it got cancelled..." Bruce said but.... something clicked. Bruce  does remember the various encounters with Mr Ryan Henderson. The man  trying to get into everyone's pockets as he glossed over his works at  events and how subborn he would be during parents evening when his time  with particualar teachers ran up. Stubborn. Bruce recalled once  he heard a rumour that Ryan Henderson paid off restaurant to run two  hours later so him and his friends could eat. Stubborn. Bruce  further recalled how Mr Ryan Henderson refused to having anything other  that red wine the time Scarlet and Damian had a  piano duet at the  school concert. Stubborn. Mr Ryan Henderson gave most of the  parents the flu when he refused to stay at home and rest up.  Mr Ryan  Henderson never budged.

"So  why would he cancel" Bruce muttered. He squinted looking at the  location of the event. It was at the peir in the massive hall that he  remembered use to have a few dances in. It was very popular in hosting  events such as Ryan Henderson's. The rest of the boys picked up on it.

"Someone must have had more power on him" Jason lifted his head up and losend his arms.

"Or knows something about Mr Henderson" Dick looked up as well towards the screen showcasing the man.
