Going On Vacation

Summer is nearly over, but the temperatures are still on the warm side. For this particular day, Amanda and her family are going away for a long weekend. When Paul suggested Hamburg, Amanda thought it was perfect since she hasn't seen it, nor have her siblings.

Right now, Amanda has just finished packing her suitcase as Paul approaches her. "I'm really excited about our trip, Paulie! Even Derek and Odette are looking forward to seeing Hamburg!" Said Amanda with a smile. "I'm glad to hear that. Although I wanted to talk to you about something." Said Paul.

"What's wrong?" Amanda asked. "Oh no, it's nothing bad. More of a heads up, actually." Paul said. "Okay?" Said Amanda. "Derek offered me to ride with him on the way over, and I said yes." Said Paul. "Oh. Then again, they have more than one carriage." Amanda said. "True, I actually saw the stables a few times while we were in Chamberg. Such lovely horses." Paul said.

Amanda giggles. "So... how's this gonna work?" She asked. "Odette said she'll meet you here so you two can ride together, and I told Derek I'd meet him at the castle." Said Paul. "Ah, that sounds like a plan." Said Amanda. "Don't you worry, sweetheart. We may be riding in separate carriages, but once we arrive at our destination, we'll be back together before you know it." Paul said. He gives Amanda a kiss on her forehead. "Oh, I'm not worried. I can handle us being separated for a few minutes. Besides, it's nothing like nine years ago." She said.

The sound of a horse neighing occurs from outside. "That might be Odette now." Said Paul. The two step outside, and it was indeed Odette who has arrived in the first carriage. "Who's ready for a family vacation?" She asked. "Me!!" Amanda said excitedly. "By the way, Paul, Derek has the other carriage ready for you." Said Odette. "Ah, great." Paul said.

"See you in Hamburg." Said Amanda. She and Paul give each other a quick kiss on the lips before going their temporarily separate ways. Amanda climbs onto the carriage and sits in the front next to her sister, waving to Paul and he waves back as he heads off to meet Derek.

"Did Paul tell you a little of what Hamburg is like?" Odette asked. "Somewhat. But he did say him and the lads used to perform there." Amanda said. "Wow!" Said Odette. "I know, right?" Said Amanda. After a few minutes of chatting, the girls start heading on their way.
