Trying not to scream with joy, I whisper, "Yes," and he rises, kissing me. My heart is thudding so loudly, I'm surprised no one can hear it. Josh holds my head in his hands, saying, "In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you." I laugh, commenting, "I see you enjoyed our weekly Jane Austen readings." He nods. "Oh yeah, I loved them." Then Josh pretends to doze off. Playfully ruffling his hair, I give him another smooch, backing towards his mat. Seating myself on it, I remark, "If this next hour is disappointing, remember, we love each other." Josh chuckles, says, "Please," and kisses my neck.

I wake up to the feeling of hair on my back, and remember what happened last night. Grinning, I rub the arms around me, causing my new fiancé to stir. He pulls me nearer, softly pecking my cheek. Josh sighs quietly. "I'm so overwhelmed by how much I love you. I am unbelievably thrilled that you excepted my invitation to spend the rest of our lives together." I roll over, saying, "I adore it when you talk romantically to me." We smile into a lip lock. After a while, we reluctantly dress, and march into the hall for our last roll call, but this time, I'm beaming.
