"So, Carlos killed David?" It's the day after we got the news, and Ben is the first to question us. Everyone looks down, silently mourning the loss of our leader. Josh nods, slowly, hiding his emotions. Chris sighs, saying, "What'll we do now? Without a master to direct us, we cannot win the Battle." After a few minutes of silence, Josh exclaims, "I'll train you." I stare at him, curiously, while the guys erupt into laughter. "You think YOU could understand the way David thought?!" Raphael bursts. A stony glare from Josh shuts them up. Clearing his throat, he responds, "As a matter of fact, yes. I can. Before we were kidnapped, David gave me this." He pulls a piece of parchment from his uniform. "He knew something like this would happen, so he prepared." Spreading it out, we soon see that it's a strategy plan. Immediately, everybody recognizes it. Except me. "What is it?" I ask, sounding like a complete newb. Chris explains. "It's called 'Hidden Treasure'. How it works is, on Battle day, we wake at four o'clock-while El Miedo is still asleep-get ready and stuff, then we find a place to hide." Noticing the confused expression on my face, he continues. "You need to find a comfortable hiding spot, because you'll be there a while. Here's why: at five, El Miedo wakes up, and we start the Battle at noon. When no Eliminators show up, Carlos sends his ninjas to look for us. As soon as one appears, we attack them. Pretty simple, actually." I look at everyone around the table, finally ending on Josh. Grinning, he raises his eyebrows. "You ready?" I glance at the clan once more, and for the first time, I know I belong here.
