A MONTH LATER.
OMNISCIENT POV."I feel so loved and spoilt and nothing even happened to me." Ella commented with a huge grin on her face, arriving back at the mansion she lived with her mum in Lagos.
It had been a rough few weeks, with Divine cancelling the shows he had listed out, and running back to Benin where the accident had occurred. It was a case of a drunk driver, who had hit their car. Ella, Divine's mother and their sister,Victoria, were all in the car.
Ella had some bruises on her arm and glasses cuts at the upper part of her eye but she was fine. Their mother, had also gotten cuts and scratches, and she went into a state of shock. But the one with the greatest issue was Victoria, who was driving that night, she had internal bleeding, bruises and cuts, fractured femur and rib.
They were all so happy, that she made it out alive.
"It's been a month and we are all feeling better. You three can head back to Lagos. I have my friends and my husband and his family to take care of me." She told Divine when he walked into her room to take care of her.
"We are not leaving you. How long do you want to continue being angry with me? Is it until one of us dies and we live our lives with regret? You still have your family and we care about you." He sucked his teeth in frustration at his sister's attitude.
"When Mummy came out of shock, I could have just paid the doctors and get you help, so you will be comfortable but I'm here....we all here. All these attitude no make sense at all." He placed the moin-moin, jollof rice and fried rice with turkey and a bottle of drink on a tray for her.
The room was silent as he took a seat at the edge of her bed and removed the tissue paper and spoon from the rubber band and started feeding her. Due to the pain she had endured, the doctor said it was a miracle she was still alive and also, even healing two weeks after such a heavy accident.
Since it was Rema involved, the police had already caught the man who was driving and placed him in jail, for however long till he could be brought out.
He placed a spoon of rice in her mouth and she looked at him with uncertainty as she chewed her food.
Tears formed in her eyes as she looked at him, "I'm sorry about what happened with your girlfriend and unborn child."
"Thank you." He appreciated, placing another spoon of rice along with a slice of moin-moin.
After chewing, she raised her hand up to make him pause, "Seems like you just want my mouth full with food so I don't talk."
She said jokingly and he chuckled placing the spoon the plate.
"Maybe if I was being a good elder sister, I would have probably been able to guide you in a way. You know sometimes, I be bragging that my brother is a superstar when I'm drunk and missing you all." She sniffled and he smiled softly at her.
"God is going to make sure you continue thriving and winning, because you deserve it. You've made mistakes...a lot which many of us might think you don't deserve forgiveness or to come back from but you do because in your heart, you always have the best interest of us in mind. We all make mistakes and I'm sorry for being so hard on you." She pulled him for a warm embrace, forgetting her pain for a second and he sniffled embracing her right back carefully.
