After the ball, Kristine was exhausted completely. She slept soundly all night and woke up the next morning.

The guest room in which she stayed was adorned with rich pink painted walls and golden accents. The huge bed was surrounded by intricately carved wooden panels and silk cushions which were very comfortable. After a quick wash and change, Kristine put on a simple yet elegant dress, suitable for breakfast with the royal family.

She went down the hall, towards the breakfast hall. The long table was set with fine china and silverware, and the scent of freshly baked pastries filled the air.

Claude and Lee were already seated at the table, their expressions a mixture of frustration and determination. Penelope, who was sitting beside Claude, nodded her head at whatever he said. As Kristine joined them, the argument between the two princes escalated.

"Claude, investing in the army is crucial for our national security. We can't ignore the growing threats," Lee argued. "And what about our future, Lee? Schools are where we build our next generation. We need to invest in education to ensure long-term stability," Claude countered, his voice rising.

Seeing Kristine come in, Lee greeted her and waited for her to take a seat. As the argument continued, Lee clenched his fists under the table, his knuckles white as Penelope nodded at Claude's every word. Kristine quickly held his hand under the table, reminding him to calm down and not escalate the situation further. The princes then asked her for her opinion.

Kristine took a deep breath. "Both arguments have their merits. A strong army ensures safety in the present, while investing in schools secures a brighter future. Perhaps a balanced approach, with gradual improvements in both areas, could address the immediate needs while planning for long-term growth."

The king and queen, who had been listening quietly, exchanged impressed glances. The queen smiled warmly. "Kristine, your perspective is refreshing and insightful. We appreciate your balanced approach." This praise that Kristine received angered Penelope.
