Narrator pov :

The events of the dark night were indeed strange. There were too many questions in both of their minds that they needed answers for. However, the Hashira soon came over the fact and decided to talk to the kid.

Shinobu : *goes to Tanjiro and hugs him* I am sorry for your loss. Everything is gonna come out fine. But let's first bury your deceased family.

Tanjiro : *nods*

Shinobu : *starts going towards Tanjiro's house* ( I barely heard him speak ever since I first saw him. He also always had the same emotionless expression on his face. He didn't even cry after seeing his family die. I know he must be sad and want to scream but he is blocking all his emotions with that stoic face. After we are done with burial, I shall talk to him about his future actions. I can't leave him alone to die out in the forest specially when he might be Muzan's target now. )

After few minutes of silently walking they arrived at the scene of horror and Shinobu helped Tanjiro dig a grave and bury his mother. After proper burial, they both bowed in respect and prayed for the poor soul to find peace in heaven. After all of that, Shinobu decided to introduce herself and tell the boy about demons and demon slayers.

Shinobu : *goes to Tanjiro* I know it's not the best of time, but do you want to know who was that man and why did he kill your mother ? And why did your sister not recognise you ?

Tanjiro : *nods*

Shinobu : Well, let's start by introducing ourselves. I am Shinobu Kocho, a Demon Slayer swordsman at Hashira Rank. May I ask, what is your name ?

Tanjiro : Tanjiro......... Kamado Tanjiro.

Shinobu : Tanjiro is a pretty nice name. So, have you ever heard of demons ? If yes, do you believe them ?

Tanjiro : *nods to the first question while shakes his head as no for the second*

Shinobu : Well, would you believe if I say that demons do exist and the man who attacked your family was a demon ?

Tanjiro : *stays quiet than speaks* That would explain the rotten oily stench from him.

Shinobu : You could say that. Not everyone has an extraordinary smelling sense like you. By the way back to the topic, Demons have been here for thousands of years feasting upon innocent humans. You noticed the wierd behaviour of your sister, right ? She was turned into a demon by that man you saw in the cave. And that's why she tried to devour you. When one becomes a demon, they lose their human consciousness and become human-eating beasts. That is the reason we demon slayers stop them by killing them so they can't harm anymore innocent humans.

Tanjiro : How can I become a demon slayer ?

Shinobu : *shocked by the sudden question* Huh ?

Tanjiro : You said Demon Slayers protect humans from facing the same fate as me. So, how can I be a Demon Slayer ?

Shinobu : ( He slayed that giant bear easily so he has potential but still he is too young and needs training from an expert. I can't leave him alone since most likely muzan will target him. For now, I should take him with me. )

Tanjiro : *waiting for her response*

Shinobu : It is a really dangerous job, are you sure about this ? Your life will be in danger in every mission you go.

Tanjiro : *nods*

Shinobu : Still you are too young, you will need to perfect your swordsmanship skills for a few years before becoming a demon slayer. For now, take every thing important and close to you and follow me.
