Carter
I was busy in my room, rearranging my bookshelf when I heard my bedroom door flew open again, I let out a tired sigh, when will she learn how to knock before she can just come into somebody's room.
I could've been naked!
"I can't believe what you did the other night, why did you say that to Aiden!" Juliet looked furious, her cheeks red with annoyance, her eyes glaring daggers into my soul.
"Look Juliet, I'm going to be honest with you, your boyfriend is a swine, and I don't like him." I said bluntly, shrugging my shoulders, because it's the truth, the moment I saw him in the kitchen, I got a terrible feeling about him, and it send cold shivers down my spine, and not the good kind.
Juliet doesn't look happy about my answer, but I didn't care, I was practically pushed into this marriage without a say.
"Well his not my boyfriend anymore, but that doesn't mean he won't hold a grudge." She said suddenly, shocking me.
She gave me a bored look.
"Get ready, we have a meeting with my father in twenty minutes." She said sharply before she stormed out of my room.
So damn moody.
I rolled my eyes, releasing a sigh, I don't see why she has an attitude with me, I mean I didn't do anything wrong, in fact, she shouldn't take her bad mood out on me just because she and her ex-boyfriend are having problems.
The ride to her father's office was calm and silent. I wonder what her father wants to talk to us about, the wedding is in a few days so it's probably something about that but one can never be sure when it comes to our fathers.
We climbed out of the car and entered the building. We entered the elevator that had some people inside and pressed the button to her father's floor. When I did that I noticed the people in the elevator gave me a few glances.
They're probably wondering who I am and what I'm doing with the CEO's she-devil of a daughter
"So how did the dress shopping go?"
Juliet turned to look at me and raised a brow. "Why do you care?" She asked flatly, visibly annoyed at me.
"I don't, I just want to know if you founded something you liked."
She rolled her eyes. "It's designed so it went well."
The elevator came to a stop to a certain floor and the people went out leaving just the two of us inside.
"Oh, mine too?" I asked curiously.
"No, I already have your suit ready." I nodded awkwardly.
The elevator finally got to our floor. "Let's go." She ordered me like I'm some fucking damn dog. She grabbed my hand and dragged me behind her. I rolled my eyes and followed behind her to her father's office.
I saw Juliet looking down and then I noticed she was looking at our intertwined hands and then glanced back at me. I smiled awkwardly at her. Juliet on the other hand gave me a bored look and let go.
She knocked on the door and then heard a come in from the inside from her father and we walked in.
"Juliet, Carter." Mr. Madden gave a nod.
"Hi, Mr. Madden." I greeted him politely with a smile.
"Hello father."
Her dad pointed to the two chairs in front of his large black desk. "Please take a seat." We took our seats and waited for him to continue.
"So you two might be wondering why I called you."
"Please do because I have a ton of work to get done." Juliet interrupted him.
Is she on her period or something?
Her father folded his hands on top of his desk. "So the reason why I asked you to come is because I have something important to tell you."
"And that is?" I asked and Juliet motioned with her hand for him to continue.
"We all know that the cause of your marriage is so we can merge both companies." Me and Juliet nodded. "Well the merge is effective if the couple stays married for a period of time."
"And how long is that?" I questioned him.
"Five years." Her dad answered.
"What the hell does that mean?" I asked.
"If you didn't fucking interrupt him we would've known you idiot." Juliet snapped, giving me a glare.
"As I was saying the time lapse of validation of the arrangement is of five years, which means that after said period of time you two would be free to divorce, that is unless you don't want to."
I scoffed internally. Unless I don't want to? Bitch please the second I can divorce her, I'm going to do that immediately.
"But unfortunately you two have to follow some rules."
There's always a fucking but.
"Which are?" Juliet asked curiously, I can see she's getting impatient with her father.
"None of you can be caught being involved in any other relationship by the press." He gave us both a pointed look.
Juliet scoffed. "That's it?" She asked sarcastically.
"Yes that's it, so remember if you two by any means get caught with someone else, well then unfortunately for you two will have to deal with each other for the rest of your lives."
Hold the fuck up!
"For how long!" Both me and Juliet said at the same time.
"You two may go now, I have to get going." He stood up from his chair and buttoned up his blazer, ignoring our outburst.
"Good luck you two." He said and walked out of his office leaving the two of us in the office.
I turned to look at the brat that looked like she was in some type of a trance. "We better not fuck this up." I stood up from my chair and walk to the door to leave as well. "Because I know damn well that I don't want to spend the rest of my life with you!" I said and left the office.
What has my life become.
