"Thank you, Roshini, for giving me the most beautiful gift of my life" Aahan whispered softly, pressing a tender kiss on her forehead. Roshini’s face lit up with a warm, gentle smile.
"Tumhe bhi thank you… aur sorry, us waqt thappad maara tha na!" She said, her voice tinged with innocence and a hint of guilt.
"Koi baat nahi, itna toh tum mujhe roz marti ho neend mein.." He teased, flashing a playful grin.
"Aisa hai? Toh ab se aur nahi padenge, kyunki main aur baby ek saath soyenge aur tum sofe par!" She quipped, her tone mischievous.
"Aisa mat karo, neend nahi aayegi tumhare aur meri beti ke bina.." He replied, his voice filled with mock desperation, his eyes pleading like a puppy.
"Toh night shift tumhe hi karni padegi baby ke liye.." she teased again, raising her eyebrows with a playful smirk.
"Kar lunga… night kya, din bhi kar lunga!" He responded eagerly, his desperation making her laugh softly.
"I love you.." She whispered, her eyes softening as she gazed at him with affection.
"I love you too.."He whispered back, pressing another gentle kiss to her forehead.
Meanwhile, outside the NICU, Anubhav and the family waited anxiously for the baby, who was under observation for the mandatory health checkup. Every moment felt like an eternity.
Moments later, the doctor emerged from the room, and Haseena quickly rushed toward him, her heart racing.
"Sab thik hai na, doctor? Baby ko koi problem toh nahi hai? Baby healthy hai na?" she asked in one breath, her voice laced with concern.
"Calm down, Haseena. Baby bilkul thik hai, bas thodi si weak hai, toh aap logon ko extra care karni padegi.." The doctor reassured her with a kind smile, causing everyone to exhale in relief.
"Hum baby se kab mil sakte hai?" Anubhav asked, his voice filled with anticipation.
"Bas abhi thodi der mein nurse aapko baby de jaayengi.." The doctor replied before leaving.
A few minutes later, the nurse arrived, cradling the little bundle of joy in her arms. She gently handed the baby girl to Haseena.
"Thank you.." Haseena whispered with a heartfelt smile as she gazed lovingly at her little angel. The nurse returned the smile before leaving the family to their special moment.
"Kitni pyaari hai na?" Anubhav murmured softly, his eyes filled with adoration as he watched the baby sleep peacefully in Haseena’s arms.
"Bahut…!" Haseena replied, her voice a soft whisper.
"Bahut jyada… isliye ab hume do.." Digvijay chimed in, gently taking the baby from Haseena’s arms, a proud smile spreading across his face.
"Dekho kaise so rahi hai..."Digvijay remarked tenderly, his voice barely above a whisper as he admired the baby’s delicate features.
"Aap par jo gayi hai.." Aarti taunted her husband.
"Aarti, ab toh chhod dijiye taane dena. Dada ban gaye hai hum!" Digvijay retorted, his frown laced with endearing frustration.
"Harkatein toh teri ab bhi khud bachi jaisi hai! Pehle unhe sudhar, phir meri bahu ko bolna kuch.."Dadi quipped with a light-hearted taunt, taking the baby from Digvijay’s arms.
"Maa…!" Digvijay muttered, his frown deepening, though his heart swelled with joy.
"Laiye Dadi ab is nanhi pari ko iske bade Papa ko dijiye..!" Anubhav requested with a warm smile.
