"Chasing the Thunder"

**Tyler:** *Let's get out of here.*

**Ben:** *Uh, no offense, but I'm gonna get a ride with someone else.*

[**Thunder rumbles softly,** the wind starting to howl around them.]

**Faith:** *That's it.*

**Tyler:** *Hell yeah. We got it. We got it. All right!*

[**Thunder rumbles again, louder this time.**]

**Dennis:** *Ground speed's at 22. Intercept heading northeast.*

**Faith:** *Look for Siloam Road.*

**Tyler:** *Siloam Road. Got it.*

[**The engine roars to life, tires screeching against the wet road.** Faith grips the dashboard as they accelerate, her pulse matching the storm outside.]

**Faith:** *Whoa!*

[**Tyler laughs nervously, swerving around other vehicles.**]

**Tyler:** *Come on, move!*

**Dani:** *Hey! What are you doing?*

**Dexter:** *These storm-chasing buttheads are cutting us off!*

**Scott:** *I told you we didn't need her.*

**Tyler:** *Stay focused, guys. Let's get these babies in the air!*

[**Thunder crashes, closer now.**]

**Lily:** *I can't see it anymore! I've lost visual!*

**Scott:** *It's tracking straight ahead. Push it! Get ahead of it!*

[**Engines rev as they speed down the road.**]

**Lily:** *Doppler's gone dark.*

**Tyler:** *That's probably a dead cell zone. Lily, are you above us?*

**Lily:** *It's completely rain-wrapped. I can't see a thing.*

**Tyler:** *We just need to push through the rain curtain.*

[**They drive through the torrential downpour, visibility near zero.**]

**Lily:** *I just lost my drone.*

**Boone:** *We've lost visual!*

**Javi:** *I can't see anything!*

**Scott:** *Just keep going! I can see the road!*

**Javi:** *This feels different. I'm telling you, we need to stop.*

**Scott:** *Keep going! We'll get ahead of it!*

**Javi:** *Scott, we *have* to stop!*

[**Tires screech as Javi slams the brakes.**]

**Scott:** *What the—?*

**Javi:** *It's right there! It's right there!*

**Faith:** *Javi!*

[**The wind roars, rattling the vehicle as debris flies past.**]

**Tyler:** *Oh, God...*

**Lily:** *Hold on, y'all!*

**Faith:** *Tyler, we have to do something!*

**Boone:** *On your left! It's hitting something big!*

[**A massive explosion rumbles in the distance.** Electricity crackles, lights flickering.]

**Faith:** *Oh my God...*

**Javi:** *We can't just leave them!*

**Tyler:** *We're not leaving them! But we need to move!*

[**The sound of another explosion.**]

**Dani:** *Dex, go! Go!*

**Boone:** *It's flying at us! Faster!*

[**Dexter floors the gas, the wind howling louder.**]

**Lily:** *Come on!*

**Faith:** *Javi... Oh God...*

[**Tyler revs the engine, speeding to safety.** The car screeches as they barely dodge falling debris.]

**Javi:** *Hang on, Scott!*

**Scott:** *Go, go, go!*

[**Tires screech as the tornado looms behind them.**]

**Tyler:** *Hold on! Is everybody okay?*

**Everyone:** *Yeah!*

**Boone:** *We're good, man.*

**Javi:** *Look at the size of that thing...*

**Scott:** *This is good.*

**Javi:** *No, that's not good. It's shifting!*

[**Thunder rumbles softly in the distance as they catch their breath.** The world outside is eerily calm for a moment.]

[**Suddenly, a loud warning siren blares.**]

**Tyler:** *Okay, guys. We can't stop it, but when we get there, make sure people find shelter.*

**Boone:** *Dani, where am I headed?*

**Dani:** *There's a kids' park on Main. Get people to basements, big buildings, no windows. Avoid the cars. Go, go, go!*

[**Over the radio, they hear Dani's voice, sounding distant.**]

**Scott:** *They're running scared!*

**Javi:** *They're not running! They're heading into town to help people!*

**Scott:** *Whatever, we got our access road. We stay on mission.*

**Javi:** *We need to follow them! There are people who need help!*

**Scott:** *I don't care about the people! Stop the truck, Javi!*

**Javi:** *We need to help!*

[**Javi slams the brakes again, tires squealing.**]

**Scott:** *Good choice.*

**Javi:** *Tell Riggs we're done!*

[**Scott yells in frustration as Javi jumps out, ready to help the others.**]

[**Meanwhile, Boone and the others help usher people to safety.**]

**Boone:** *Get inside! Leave your cars!*

[**Panic and chaos as people rush into shelters.**]

**Dexter:** *Tyler! The shelters are full! We need to get everyone to the movie theater!*

**Tyler:** *Move! Everyone inside!*

**Faith:** *Guys, it's here! Get inside!*

[**Trolley wheels screech as the tornado bears down on them.**]

**Dexter:** *Come on! We're almost there!*

[**Everyone rushes inside as the wind rips through the street.**]

**Faith:** *Tyler!*

[**Debris crashes nearby, and Tyler grunts as he struggles to move.**]

**Faith:** *I'm not leaving you!*

**Tyler:** *Faith...*

**Javi:** *Come on, Faith! Lift!*

[**Together, they drag Tyler to safety just before the building groans under the pressure of the storm.**]
